Fanbericht-Grace Jones

Ich wollte nicht unerwähnt lassen, daß ich am Donnerstag in Stuttgart bei Grace Jones war.
Als Vorband spielte "Tribes", die Trip-Hop Band ihres Sohnes, der dann
später in ihrer Band an den Percussions tätig war. Auch er hat einiges drauf, Hut ab.
Bei Grace Jones waren es dann 6 Musiker (2x Keyboard, Drums, Percussion,
Gitarre, Bass) sowie 2x Background.
Ich muß schon sagen, da habt Ihr etwas verpasst. Die Frau läuft mit 61 Jahren noch in Highheels und String über die Bühne, und es sieht immer noch erotisch aus. Bei "Slave to the Rhythm" hat sie während des gesamten Liedes einen Hula-Hoop-Reifen um ihre Hüften kreisen lassen und dazu noch gesungen! Wahnsinn! Zwischen den Stücken hat sich Grace immer wieder in neue Verkleidungen geworfen und während des Aufenthalts im Umkleide-Kabuff auf der Bühne mit dem Publikum geschäkert.
Während der Songs hat sie noch Regieanweisungen gegeben, welcher Ventilator und welcher Scheinwerfer wann angeschaltet werden soll!
Leider waren nur ca. 3000-4000 Leute da. Trotzdem war es ein absoluter Genuss, auch soundtechnisch.
Bei "Pull up to the Bumper" hat sie das Publikum auf eine Vorstufe der Bühne geholt und mit ihnen getanzt. Den Vergleich mit Tina Turner brauch diese Frau definitiv nicht zu scheuen!

Just wanted to mention, that I've been to Stuttgart to see Grace Jones. Her supportact was a band named 'Tribes' which is the project of her son, who later also handled the percussion in her own band. This group also has got 6 musicians (2 keyboardists, drummer, Percussionist, Guitarist, bassist - and in addition 2 background singers.
I have to say, you did miss something out on that. This lady still walks on highheels and in strings despite beeing 61 years of age. And she looks still very sexy. While performing the song "Slave To The Rhythm" she was moving constantly with a hulahop in circles - incredible!
Between the songs, Grace did often change her outfit, and while changing in sort of a dressing box, she was still charming round with the audiance. And even during singing she gave hints to the jury relating the limelights and the vans.
Unfortunately, only about 3 - 4000 people found their way to this concert. However it's been a true injoyment also what's up to the sound condition. At her hitsingle 'Pull Up To The Bumper', Grace got some of the audiance up stage and danced along with them. Honestly this woman hasn't got to hide behind stars like Tina Turner...
