Cher

Wauw!.... For the first time for a long time I'm speakless again. This here is not a normal concert. This is gigantic overdimensional  multi-media-show functioning with the perfection of swiss watches. Every move is 100% correctly placed, every action, and each detail. Cher hasn't left out anything to make her fairwell tour become unforgettable. She comes down from the ceiling, gleaming, sparkling and overwhelming. And she seems not have aged at all for at least the last 20 years. With 60 years of age, she leaves every 25 year old far behind. Beauty surgery, whatsoever... fact is, that Cher still looks great with a brilliant aura. And her voice is still fantastic. For her fairwell she lets her live pass each station and each hitsingle via large video screens right and left handed from the stage. It's starting with Sonny & Cher in 1965 and "I Got You Babe" and it's stopping right now in the present, 40 years later with "Believe". A truly acrobatic performance with a dozens of dancers gives the event a touch of Las Vegas flair. Cher is changing her costumes and wigs almost after every song, quick and very professional. She looks fantastic in every outfit. I believe, even if she was wearing a house wifes apron, she'd be looking great.

But the nicest thing, despite her Diva image  is the fact she has not lost her humore, and that makes her very loveable. She takes the micky out of herself and she reacts immidiately to movements and comments coming out from the audiance. It's working, and she knows it. Beeing 40 years in this business Cher knows every trick and hint. She's very good indeed. The highlight is definately "If I could Turn Back Time", when she wears this famous black outfit covering only the most necessary bits of a womans body and the black curly wig. Despite the fact, that this song became a hit almost 15 years ago, Cher still looks exactly the same...no change at all. A true miracle. I don't know, either the stylist is magician or Cher is simply natural phenomen, despite all surgery. But we will never know this for sure. Never mind. this concert is definately an absolute highpoint within all those gigs of the past months. What's up to the spectacular show, there's only one more artist I know, who is reaching this dimension. And this is Peter Gabriel - different kind of music though.
Anyway, result of the night is: hide away all you Britney Spears, Christina Aquileras and Madonnas of this world. Because you won't reach this dimension not in a life time. And I believe, everybody here is aware about this and refuses to accept, that this is the very last time, they see Cher appearing live. But as we say, cultfigures are usually eternal - amen.
