Masterplan / Circle II Circle / Rob Rock

Rob Rock

Rob Rock, - yeah the name sounds a bit dotchi, - but live.... jes... this man has got pepper in his ass, despite abotu 20 punds to much on his hips. Straight Rock'n'Roll without any complicated structures, he smashes down on the just about 300 provincial rockfans. In my opinion, the most energetic act of tonight.

Circle II Circle

One thing is for sure, Zak Stevens does certainly know how to put himself posing the best way. He owns a wonderful voice and a real necessary stage presence. But the years with Savatage left it's toll, and we all win the impression, that this good man is missing his time with this band. That's why I don't think, "Circle II Circle" will win a longlasting status in Rock'n'Roll history.

Masterplan

Masterplan, the headliner of this evening try to catch the golden goal with too much light, too loud amps and acoustic noise. Yes of course it leaves qite some impression on the audiance. And Jorn Lande is without doubts one of the best singer in the scene. And his collegue Roland Grapow does follow in his footsteps. The problem is only, those complicated seeming solos don't get ya' a superstar status. This band ain't bad, but should rather rock away the straight way instead using all these edges and corners.
Over all, tonight there were three rockbands onstage, who really tried hard, did okay, but..... and this is the point, - it's three bands the world don't need. - Hey, don't take this personally boys, okay?!!!
