QUEEN

Ladies & Gentlemen, I presume, we all got in here with a complete twisted attitude. Allah and Mohamed, please have mercy with us. How could we be so wrong. As truly as I'm standing, sitting and kneeling here, or whatever the hell what, this here is simply brilliant phenomenal - just really really well done.  And no no no and three times no, - nobody tries to wake up Freddy Mercury from the Dead or tries to let Queen rise up from beyond. Up there on stage are six excellent musicians. And two of them coincidentially are original members of the past supergroup. And yes, they are allowed to carry the name onwards into the future. After this performance tonight, the first stint in Germany, even the very last fan has to agree with this.
Paul Rodgers, you've probably never dreamed about such an enthusiasm, such a love and devotion, which I guess, you didn't  even get in your best days with Free or Bad Company . And yes, you did right to keep your individuality, not trying to catch the spirit of Freddy Mercury. You skinned yourself, looking 20 years younger than you are, fit, attractiv and - oh what a voice!!! Yep no doubt, this is still one of the best voices in Rock'n'Roll. Jesus wept, I wouldn't say no.... if I had the chance.... (just kiddin') And I'll never forget  ....-never mind... last time you've been to Munich with Bad Company.
But back to tonight. This triumph is well deserved, after years of swimming in somewhere nowhere with the reunited Bad Company, Firm, Law and all the other projects. . Do I really see a teardrop shimmering outta your eyes?! Overwhelmed from emotions, thanx to the shattering reaction of 12.000 sceptic souls, who actually just came here tonight to celebrate some little nostalgic moments. - Bloody hell, - I'm starting crying  with ya' too here in the photopit, not even 10 feet away , fighting with feelings pushed by thousands of screaming fans and.... by your face impression.
Yeah okay, I confess..... I've personally never been a big fan of Queen in the past. But this here is no Queen concert in the normal sense. It is a dedication to a past cultband, but also to Free and Bad Company, who've written history as well. To get it short and straight, the whole sense of Rock'n'Roll is combined within this spectacle. And Freddy gets his part as well. I look to the ceiling of the venue, and instinctively I have the feeling, Freddy is up there, yes yes.... right up there in the left corner underneath the blue spotlight, or is it righthandside under the red light..... who gives a f.... Ghosts are usually invisible anyway, and they are everywhere even in the acoustic vibration of a Fender Stratocaster. So to get it to a more colourful realization, an overdimensional screen in the back of the stage is helping Freddy to contribute a glory hymn of the past as his part of the show. Total respect is the answer, memory the reaction, but screaming for more at the same time, and for a continuation  of the old idols in a new dress,  the birth of a new era. No, don't get me wrong, we don't want a new chapter of a dead legend. We rather want the living prove, that it is possible to celebrate an individual new party with the spirit of Freddy over all.
Some little handycaps, like an infection of the vocal organs, get over played by some artistic, - a little too long in my opinion, - guitar performances of Brian May, - so this handycap won't become a major problem in the end during the rest of this tour. Understandable for the one's who know about it. For all the others it might be some brilliant guitar solos, but on the other hand also a little too much stretched into the lenght. Brian May... what a hell of a guitarist!!!

    caught ya' shedding a teardrop
Last but not least, there's the man behind the drums, who from time to time,  does push himself into the limelight from his drumkit on to the catwalk. Roger Taylor, not quite Caruso, what's up to his nitingale performance, but still getting his piece of the cake. Because, - yes of course.... he is one of the two originals as well. Spikey hair, nicely bleached, youthful ambitions, well dressed up for an acceptable shape. But god damn..... he does belong to the lot as well, like Freddy, Brian and even now.... Paul.... Only one of them didn't join the circle. John Deacon, original bassplayer with Queen, part of the past. Apparently his attitude from then to now hasn't changed and was against all challenges. That's what we heard. Everybody is replaceable. How shall I describe it... - he is, - but legends are not. And Freddy is a legend. Whatsoever... Freddy is probably bursting in pride up there on cloud nine, - proud about his old mates, who underline all musical treasures of Queen  at least a 150times.
The Comeback has succeed very well-  575 % .... and even more. But - and this is the all important point about this unique evening... the actual star of the night is .... not Freddy -.... no this is mainly you Paul,  And the prove for that are 12.000 hearts including my little one, shooting towards you with the speed of light in deepest sympathy and exeptional devotion. Alright now.... we can't get enough of you and Brian and Roger  with Queen, without... , - or - don't forget....  Freddy underneath the blue spotlight in the left corner up there... spreading his blessing all over the place. This is just simply a brilliant, steady Rock'n'Roll show, now,  and hopefully for a bit longer... Freddy forever and the show must go on....

Shit...... this was good !
