24.10. 2005 Munich, Zenith

Okidok, come on and start the battle into the next round for the 542nd time. Yeah, okay, maybe not quite that often. But Motörhead certainly belong to the rockbands I have seen playing live most often. And believe it or not, I'm still not deaf and not dead. It's showtime once again, but like once before at our beloved Zenith venue, which we'd luv to pull down immidiately. Shitty place, I'm telling ya'. But we are here to check out if the wart in Mr.Kilmisters face is still at the same spot right there and it didn't get bigger. And over all, Lemmy is a true miracle of the nature, as we say so in german. I can't remember, that he ever looked any different than tonight, not even 20 years ago. The reason for this will always be a secret. But let's be honest,  the perfect recepie of all these cultbands are the fact, that they never changed and always look and sound the same. I think of groups like Status Quo, AC/DC or Iron Maiden.
They are always the same and still pretty much successful. So please no experiments or changes. Even Lemmy's outfit is still the same. I can't remember to have seen him on stage in any other shirt than this and wearing his white Cowboy boots. The only change within Motörhead over the years have been some line up changes what's up to the drums and guitar position. But it never did any harm on the project itself. Because Lemmy is the project, the captain, who always got his ship outta the hurricans of the music industry.

However, Motörhead have gonne through a few up's and down's. Sometimes they were really popular, other times they were stranded beyond the desert Gobi. But one thing never got lost. And this is the so called cult status which. It saves the group from drowning in the drain.
What shall I say - tonight and here and now. Motörhead are more popular than ever. And again - I can't remember ever Motörhead playing in front of more than 4.000 fans.

Youth and the older generation have gathered together to once again discover the loudest band in the world. Daddy is here, who can remember, when Lemmy was still Jimi Hendrix road dog and later on with his first band Hawkwind. And there are the youngsters, who were not even born, when Motörhead's first single came out. Jesus christ... the whole temple is bowing it's head in front of the Hard Rock Methusalem. And once again we start the set with... yep of course..... "Motörhead" boasting into our brains, just to make sure, we didn't forget, what they are called. Hey, don't worry, that's the least thing we've ever done.

The battle has started and it's exploding without a dot and a comma. And most of all, - it's loud, I mean - very loud, without any compromises, dirty and arrogant. The local sound mix cercumstances do  fortunately not get recognized by all the fans beeing truly exited and happy. We don't see a lot in this rubbish venue, we don't hear a lot, and we are deaf afterwards. "No Class" my personal fave, an almost not recognizable noisepolution, where you can just make out the two words - no class if you're concentrated. But nobody is really. And cheers, the beer is flowing into our throats. Over all the point is, - nothing matters. Yep, up there is Motörhead, -  untouchable standing above us softies. We don't accept any argument against it, even not, if Lemmy did sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". Don't worry, he wouldn't.
"Ace Of Spades" is the hymn, the encore and the last good Bye of Motörhead - let's got to  hell and see ya' next time.

Hey – it’s Motörhead so shut up !

Sorry,  did you say something ?
