Gorgoroth

You know, what the best invention for a Rock'n'Roll show is? - No?
How about the ordinary fire protection. And yes, it was placed right and lefthandside of the stage. -Just in case of course to prevent a little lightning and catching fire of Orpheus and his helldogs within this bonfire. Yiippiieehh, the fire is burning up and the black souls are laughing and with 'em another 300 admirers of the satanic rhimes a.k.a. Gorgoroth.

Alright, these norwegian guys got this little special something, that's for sure. In the first two seconds I'm just not quite sure, whether it's gotta do with visual exotic look or the dark performance of transylvanien symphonies.
Like Deicide two weeks ago, I wanna keep pretty neutral what's up to the music. Death Metal in my point of view is not music in the normal sense. It's a philosophy of psychoanalytic metamorphosis for  paranoid freaks. I have to admit, that fans of  this impulsive black orgies are a very peaceful audiance. And their only pleasure is to headbang their brains with the rhythm of the sounds. Both hands up in the air showing the two famous devil fingers, this kids celebrate their idols up on the altar.

Despite the fact, that Gorgoroth didn't get themselves a very positive reputation over the past few years in the international musicscene, they are still enjoying a hupge portantial of popularity. Like here and now tonight in munich, where the band get honoured by the - dressed in black - devoted fans. It's amazing, how many females are in the audiance, and this is probably not because those rockstars are so over attractive. The sophisticated pale faces with a touch of red underlined with a dark mystery round their eyes and over all of course helps to push Frankenstein into beyond. But you've give 'em at least a huge potantial of a photogenic aura. My camera goes nuts and luv's to take pics from every aspect.
It does magic and draws the attention of the frontman in my direction. Yep, it succeeds in the visual way and also in the acoustic direction.

Whatever you think about it, but the whole thing is quite entertaining. Whatever you might think about these Death Metal sound clouds, - it got something to it. No encore of course because of image care, but therefore  our friend the fire protection ain't needed once.

And if I think about the aftershow alkohol test from our local munich police on my way home, then this evening has really been worth it. A big thank you to the Backstage housebar and their  rather poor liquid limit within the glasses. It has saved my life, - äh... better - my driving licence.

BossHoss

Holy shit including all J.R. Texas meets Santa Fee Sombreros, honestly there were only 4 concerts this year, which shook me all night long. The first one was Queen & Paul Rodgers. The second one was Styx, wo would not have been half as good without Larry Gowan. Number three was Steve Vai, who could have played the whole night without getting boring. And number four is here tonight  live on stage and is named BossHoss. Damn, I have spent five years in Great Britain, but still getting caught beeing german when I speak in english. And there those guys from somehow in Berlin come along and talk and sing in such a kinda westernsland, that most of the audiance ain't sure, whether they are from Germany or from the US. It's fantastic. BossHoss look like Cowboys, they act like Cowboys, and the sing  and talk like Old Shatterhand, Old Surehand, heirs of ikarus... shit - last one is greek, ain't he?! Never mind. Up there on stage the hell is burning, and within minutes in the audiance as well.
BossHoss and the rest of the Dalton Brothers - just kiddin', have got themselves a very special strategy. They take already wellknown songs and develop them into some kind of Hard rockin' Country Roll. These tracks became such individuals, that you can't almost call 'em coverversions.

“A Little Less Conversation“ of Elvis is rapped like „Hey Joe“, „Unbelievable“ of EMF, or the encore „Word UP“ of Cameo . Christus, and no eye stays dry. But don't you think, that the boys only relay on those coverversions. The setlist includes  also own compositions like "Remedy" and "Yee Haw", the first single of the current album „Internashville Urban Cowboys“. BossHoss know how to connect the music with some wildwest romantic wild Rock'n'Roll. The success speaks for itselves including a contract with the majorlabel Universal Music and also the fact, that their music is already featured in some TV ads. And believe me all you musiclovers, this does a lot...
So take the explosive stage presence in eight cases, then everybody is moving inside this place. The sold out venue is shaking  including myself. BossHoss know how to sell themselves. Musically perfect, we also get something visually served, exspecially for us women. That's why there are so many here with sparkling eyes like under a christmas tree. Everything is right and the sparkle jumps over from the stage into the audiance, on to us grateful fnas, girls and lovers of fast rock'n'roll tunes. And don't get me wrong, but this here was most probably the best gig of a german act, I've seen within the past 10 years. YeeHaa, I'm not telling lies, and beat me up, if I'm wrong. Halleluja
