She
is a frontburner in the german heavy metal scene. And this has got
more than just one reason. First of all, she's on the road for half an
eternity. Second, Doro is some kind of unique beeing the only female
headbanger, who kept herself on the surface over all those years. And
third, she doesn't just look pretty, she is very nice as well and -
yes - she can sing:
But.... and that's Doro's problem, she will never become a so called
superstar, will always stream somewhere in the middle of the
international metal ocean and just swim along with many others not
reaching a certain higher level goal.
Not in Germany though, where she still is the number one. And this
fact once again draws all her fans to this event here and all the
other's on this tour. Munich's always been a difficult place to play
for hardrocking acts. But this time, there are more fans here tonight,
than all those years before. It's showtime and Doro drives the
melting pot exploding. It is always amazing again, how much energy
this little woman is able to produce. And she can manage to drive the
crowd, her fans up to ecstacy and give 'em pepper in the ass.
Yeah,
maybe Doro's outfit is a littel oldfashioned, and reminds me very much
about the glory eighties metal years. And musically she stopped
somewhere between yesterday and today. Whereby the tendences goes more
to yesterday. But as it is said very often, music should be
timeless. And for Doro's fans it definately is. 'Warrior Of Soul' is
the slogan, which is highly celebrated.
The product stands on top of the row, although the classic tunes don't
get neclected. Because that#s what fans wanna hear. (see setlist)
Yep, Doro certainly gets her attention from her admirers. And as long
this little circle does exists, Doro will still be alive and rocking.
Yeah okay, - at least here in Germany and some neighbourhood countries.

A short word for the
supportband Sonata Arctica, who honestly understand, how to
put themselves into the right profile - visually and also
acoustically including a rather impressing frontman, with a
huge aura. I can tell.
However, I could easily imagine, that this hardrock export
from finland one day gets on to the level of In Flames and
don't need to tour as a supportact. We wish them all the best.
And as we say so: 'a name you should remember'.
