Chris Jagger's Atcha

Yep, he's the younger brother, but he looks very much familiar to his big brother. He also owns this typical dry humour, like Mick, and even the voice sounds similar. But that's about it, what the two Jaggers have in common. Chis is often asked about his famous brother as a matter of course. But he knows quite well how to deal with it, and he give the right answers to sometimes real naiv questions.

So what? Mick has shot to fame in the Sixties easily. Chris is still hard working on his individual carriere, which stood in the shadow of Mick for a very long time. In the seventies, Chris produced two records for Billy Gaff and David Geffen. Not beeing noticed, when they were made, nowadays they've reached some kinda cultstatus. In the eighties he worked as a lyricist and he contributed  to the two Stones albums  ‚Dirty Work’ and ‚Steel Wheels’.

Chris Jagger has developed a individual mixture of music. And it has got absolutely nothing to do with the music of the Rolling Stones. It's a cocktail of Ska, Boogie, Rock'n'Roll, Zydeco, Cajun and Country. - rather difficult to explain. He plays the guitar and the washboard and sings the leadvocals. And Chris has got two  projects running. One one hand there's the Chris Jagger Trio and on the other - it's Chris Jagger's Atcha, who he is currently touring throughout Europe with a new album in the back named 'Act Of Faith'.  On this CD for the first time you will find a duet of the two Jagger brothers by the way.

Okay, and there we are at one stop of the tour here in munich at the Titanic City club. Just about 50 souls found their way to this event. And the boogie is starting right away. By the way, there's Charlie Hart in the group, who is almost a legend by himself in the british musicscene.
Yes, there's a lot movement on stage, not so much in the audiance in the very beginning. But as time goes by, it gets loose and easy as well towards the end of the first set.

Set 1

Set 2

Chris proves humour, that's for sure, when he asures us, that the tickets for his concerts do surely not cost 190 Euros, like some other bands charge for their appearance. - Whoever he ment by that!!!!!!!!!

The two sets include mainly material written by Chris Jagger's  Atcha, or better by himself. exept two or three exeptions. But they certainly won't do a Rolling Stone title, no no no.... And he's right. The the very last thing, Chris wants, is to be compared with his brother or the Rolling Stones. He got himself different goals, which are original  and not related to whatever. And he underlines with this circumstance the fact, that a famous name shouldn't always be an orientation.

This here is Chris Jagger, that's it. You can't mention it often enough, with his Ska-Boogie and his attitude. Even he will never reach the fame of his brother, and even when people still do not know, Mick has actually got a younger brother. But that's okay by him. Chris just wants to make his music and keep his personality and do what he wants to do, not more nor less and most of all not relating on anything.
And this is really good..... believe me...
