Länge der Klamm insgesamt: 4 km - aber nur 1 km ist begehbar 

Length of the canon is about 2,5 miles, but only about 1/2 mile you can walk

Einer Sage zufolge entstand die Klamm dadurch, dass der Teufel schnellstens Wasser nach Großarl bringen sollte. Dies gelang ihm aber zunächst nicht. Voller Wut und Zorn überflog er die Schlucht und schleuderte Wasser in sie hinein.

According to a tale, the canyon developed as the devil wanted to bring water to a place named Grossarl. He couldn't manage. Furiosly he flew across the canyon and dropped the water
