when things are under a bad star (as we call it in german), then it's sometimes persisting. This tour had been cancelled already twice, where the reasons for this were more up to Disturbed. But somehow it has been transmitted to the supportact  Nevermore, 'cause they were forced to cancel one show before this one off, because of some illness of the frontman. And today nobody really knew 'till the point, - are they gonna play or not.

Oh yes, Nevermore are going on stage, but.....!!!!  - Due to the delayed arrival of singer Warrel Dane (he had been released from hospital in Dortmund, spending the night there, and it's a long way down here) the start of the set has been pulled out and postbones for aprox. 40 minutes. Result of the delay: we photographers have just finished our shooting, and 3 minutes after, - the dream is finished again. Disturbed show no merci and wanna go on stage on scheduled time.

Short and painless - Nevermore's sting is simply miles too short to do a decent review - including shitty soundconditions (But that's normal for this venue) And somehow you can still feel, that Warrel Danes is still not 100% fit yet. I truly ask myself, whether it was a wise move to do this set here tonight, by watching all these annoyed fans. And you've got give 'em that. No boys, no goal tonight, although you didn't want  to dissappoint your fans  again. But the bullet has shot backwards.

And then hell is on earth, at least what's up to the first 20 rows and also what's up to the amps. -
In ancient China, people used to torture their victims with a special method. They put 'em underneath a huge bell and made such a big noise, that the poor fella died after a while. And this is, what I feel right now in the photopit, holy shit!!! And yes, of course I forgot my earplugs. That happens all the time, excspecially when the figure of the decible goes beyond the limit.
But I gotta get through that now, at least for the lenght of 3 songs, which seem everlasting. Fact is also, the acoustical circumstances haven't changed since the supportband, but like I mentioned before, that's up to the damn behated venue here, which seems to contain a sort of spell. Obviously David Drainman's voice is repaired again. He had to undergo surgery in august to fix his machinerie after he had his nose broken several times in the past. Afterwards he could only breath through his mouth - no good for singers, is it?!!! So all fixed dates had to be cancelled. However he does apologize immidiately in the beginning of the set to his faithful fans, who celebrate sort of Xmas in advance to have their idols finally up there on stage.

Like Wolfmother recently, also Disturbed belongs to this phenomens, who got hyped from various visual music media, so money is flowing and the popularity is rising up into the space orbit, exspecially with their mainly very young audiance. Like mentioned before: what the farmer doesn't know, he doesn't eat, when it's not prepared properly, no matter what.... - And this here is certainly well prepared in form of some coverversions of famous songs. The current one is "Land Of Confusion" , the Genesis classic tune. I personally have nothing against well done and somehow different coverversions, but when it finally sounds like the original, - I mean, what is the point?  What makes me most nervoes is the fact, that those kiddies here, probably don't even know, that this track is a coverversion and think, it is created by Disturbed.

However and already said, - main thing is, money is flowing in our fastliving musicbusiness. Nothing else counts anymore.
Back to the action tonight, which is getting outta hand, overwhelmed fans, miserable sound, -  never mind - and a few nutcases causing trouble, and getting pulled out by our tight security into the fresh air. The highpoint is reached by exact the coverversions of "Land Of Confusion", the show it dominated by the current album "10.000 Fists". And those are up in the air, yeah well.... it's only about 4.000. But this is still much more than some of our classic old hardrockers get at a show. Sad but true, or should I say, good... at least it keeps rockmusic alive and the memory about old classics.

Manu and I give it a go before the concert is finished to get out of the area, before the crowd is storming out. But not before we Girls have wished Nevermore Guitarist Jeff Loomis a happy Birthday today... So at least we got a nice final of the evening J)))....
