....and finally I get to see 'em live on stage as well, after I missed our finnish-Monster-Eurovision-Song-Contest.Winner-Rockers already twice. And it almost would have gone down the drain again. After I had quit a very charming rendevouz, not before I promised to be back again after this concert, just before this here, I discover a sign saying - because of technical problems the show starts one hour late at 9 p.m. - Lordi on stage half past 10 p,m.
The usual technical problems are actually a serious sickness of Puti Tomansuu, who has been taken to the doctors to get him in a half decent condition to pull through this show. He just doesn't wanna disappoint his fans, and he probably died a 1000 times tonight. But respect, he manages to get through this, without anybody realising, that something ain't what it should be. And the only thing, you could maybe have got the idea, that something ain't right, is the delay and a sort of overdone drumsolo. Everything else happens like it's planned, pushed up a bit with some technical little helpers!!! but without any other handycaps. And no it was not the Oktoberfest beeing responsible for Lordi's condition. I can honestly asure you.

Our venue here is crowded and absoluteley sold out. Wonder why? The Euro Contest winners have shot like a comet to the rock'n'roll sky. From beeing a citchy monster combo, they became soon a sparkling star, who go and get out whatever they are able to, if they are clever. Because who knows, whether and how long the fire will still be burning. The victory at the songcontest has been a campaign of the united european hardrock fans, to get some attention reputation of their style of music.

Whether this was Lordi or anybody else, comes second. But to be honest, the fans who have voted for Lordi, had already bought their CDs anyway. So the sales figures probably didn't go up in astronomical heights afterwards. The only real advantage is, that Lordi could now embark on a headliner tour and fill the venues completely - sold out. Another fact is, that Lord has to have a very good idea for the next CD to keep up the standard. And this ain't easy, boys, - within this stubborn world of music right now with so much competition.

Lordi go for simple popmusic. Yep, you read right.... popmusic, that's what it is, with a heavy metal guitar and an ultra hard beat. I mean, if you remove both instruments... you'll see that I'm right. Hello from the eighties. Those  are sing along melodies. And that's what they do, the 1.800 fans with a lot of enthusiasm. No big deal, no complicated soundstructures, whereby you have to listen with full concentration. No this here is party pure, including the visual aspect.
When critics compared Lordi with Gwar and Alice Cooper after the song contest, today nobody wannts to know about this anymore. Lordi are great, unique, and the exitment for this band is excellent. The party lasts for 90 minutes, whereby songs like ‚Devil is a Looser’, ‚Would You Love A Monsterman’ and the encore, the hymn ‚Hardrock Halleluja’

I confess, I really do like it. I clap my hands, I rock along, though not that enthusiastically like all those Die Hard Lordi fans. But I guess, it's my age and the loss of my youthful energy.
Okay, they could have spared out the overdone drumsolo. And I bet, this is not done as extensive like here tonight. But most probably Mr. Lordi needs this break to refresh himself a bit within his weak condition.
Pur little sod, who must have beaten temperatures of 50 degrees centogrades and above within his costume, like the other bandmembers. Not to mention the drummer, who has done the most exhausting physical work at all beating three asthmatic challenges inbetween.

That's why I say, - respect to you all. The show is almost perfect, despite all those problems, and all Lordi fans go home pleased and satisfied.
