It’s
Showtime, and nothing has changed since last time and the time before.
And everything sounds so heavenly perfect. Welcome back to the eighties
in every way. It starts with the mega tight leggins, and ladies-boots of
Blacky Lawless and it stops with 'Wild Child' and goes beyond. Yes of
course there are changes and differences to the past, most of all what's
up to the splatter, ketchup blood show, the headless cross with a
plasticdoll nailed to it and bouncy bones, underlining the horror
clichee image. And we all have been totally stunned. Nothing was perfect
then, and mistakes happened. But it was something special, something we
enjoyed so much by receiving a deep impression, which we kept in our
memory forever. Yep, the voice still sounds the same, - very intensively and on a high level what's up to the screaming, - very unique for Blacky Lawless, and somehow.... perfect tonight. The show itself has been reduced to a minimum of extravaganza. No horror clichee anymore exept the skull figure - microphone thrown, which is named Elvis. And Elvis still has to put up with the mastro's wild whipping exspecially towards the end of the performance.- And once again the show has been reduced on this tour, missing the ultraviolet light chapter in the middle of the set impressing all those fans even more. And it was very photogenic as well, I have to admit. Other than that, Blacky pulls through the line, without a lot talking inbetween, and almost per.... - too perfect ! All the
freaks of eighties heavy metal are grateful and show their effection
with the usual metal hello. No matter things happening up there. This is
Blacky like he's always been, and Blacky is WASP and WASP is Blacky,
nothing else. 'Dominator' is the title of the new album, which has been
postboned to a january release because of some reasons. Alright probably he just
wants to get everything perfect a 100 percent. He sweats, he screams, he
moves with this stinging look in his eyes. And he doesn't seem to have
become older in some ways for the past 30 years. He pushes himself up
and pushes us up and pulls us along with the rhythm - sraight, hard and
per... like a decent hardrock show should be. Unfortunately 'Fuck Like A
Beast' didn't find a place of tonight's setlist. Dun' know why and
whether it's because of a lack of importance or moral reasons.
Instead we receive 'Blind In Texas' as the last encore. And everything
happens almost perfect, tonight, two years ago and even before that
during the second era of WASP.
