I confess rather soon, that I've missed out on the first two rhapsodies of the holy inqui... - sorry Alliance of course. I mean, it has been also the local promoter's fault. Because on posters and tickets it says clearly, that the concerts starts at 7.30 p.m. But it actually starts at 7 p.m. with 'thine Exes Bleed'. At this time most of the audiance was still undergoing the routine controlls and check ups. Annoying to a certain constent, 'cause fans have partly travelled from far away and paid 50 Euros to get in, and now have dismissed not just the first band, but because of the long ongoing routine controlls also the second band 'Lamb Of Gods'. So there are only a handfull of people in there to celebrate the first two acts. Meanwhile our caring local security is continuing to check the rest of the crowd with all the time in the world not taking care about time. However that's the rule. The only question left, is, whether we did actually miss out on something  of the first two unholy Alliance members. I dun know, 'cause I also belong to the one's just arriving right in time for the third bandto appear on stage.

And it is the finns of Children of Bodom, who can look down from their altar on an absolute crowded audiance, who are pushing and pulling and beating each other up for a good view. It doesn't happen very often anymore, but it does, that this venue here is completely sold out with about 5.000 tickets. For my part i do experience this band for the first time. They are young and have a lot of pepper in their asses whats up to the music. Though in my opinion, I still think it takes a lot of energy, when the frontman plays an instrument as well besides singing. In how far this meets the Children of Bodom, I really don't know. Compared to their heavy metal, they do not move a lot on stage. And we get the usual phenomen by taking pics, that the first one looks likte the 52 nd one. Because whatsoever is wasted for the sound out of hell, they do save at the body physics. To close the circle here with a singing and guitarplaying frontman at the Children of Bodom. Shame, because apart from that, this band has got surely a certain potential. nothing exiting but a decent and solid performance ready to get improved.

Next chapter and no.4 are the In Flames also from finland. I've seen the lot now three times within only a short while. But tonight I've got to complain about something straight away. Where have the sexy stripy socks gonne and those unique shoes, the white shirt and the nice tie? Instead the guys dress in kinda uniform -all the same, - and it seems, like they've just broke out from alcatraz.
Yeah of course the look is not the most important aspect, but as we say so, the eye eats as well. And in case of InFlames, I do certainly miss something.... Also the pyroshow is missing. But I dun know, whether this is due to a local order, or the Big Boss said so. Long talk short sense, the guys are true bone breakers, but with a lot of heart and soul and also melody. Yes, you've heard right, besides all this thrash metal, it got something to it. And I must admit, I do like the band from the very start.
Sorry for the fact, that I couldn't get my hands on the setlists tonight. Hope you are gonna forgive me.

And there they are – Ladies & Gentlemen – “Slayer”, the kings of thrashmetal, the still hardest band in the world. Every act, who once said, that they are harder than Slayer, turned out to be only noisepolution. But Slayer have got quality, structure and explode like a nuclear bomb. They stand above all conventions. Slayer are untouchable within their kinda going and style. And also many people do not like this kinda music, and I do understand this, - so the band still invited their own individual style and went into the rockmusic history. Last but not least Slayer have put out a so called milestone album - 'Reign In Blood' in the eighties, which is an importatn fact. And the other thing is, - exseptions state the rule as we say so over here, and yes they do transfer an awful lot of power, despite the fact, that front man Tom Araya does play the bass beside singing the lead vocals. . There is such a huge wave of energy beeing transfered to the audiance, that it puts you outta your shoes. I know this from many performances in the past, so it doesn't surprise me.

 Slayer's Merchandise.....

<<< see Pic

90 Euros for a T-Shirt !!!!
No more comment about that....

Slayer are the hardest, very loud and always great again and again. Okay forget last gig in munich where Toms voice broke down.
But this was an accident. Kerry King and Jeff Hannemann put out the Unholy Alliance slogan best: preaching to the perverted in the truest sense of the words. And our lost son Dave Lombardo seems to feel really well again in the homely nest . God help, what a brilliant drummer. Faster than the speed of light, with such an energy that concrete starts melting.
However I still luv em for the past 25 years (and my dog sina as well - see Pic, not as long of course) But this horrible beard has to go again To. You don't have to copy the rest of the gang visually, because what's up to the character, you have no similarity to the other's as well. But back to the vision. If you think, that this guy is my age, I've got to say, I kept myself in shape, ha ha...
But back to the sense of the talk. One thing is for sure to repeat myself - the beard has to go sooner or later. Even we got to start signing session as kinda protest about this.

’Illusion of Christ’ is the slogan of course. The amps look like headless crosses for the right flair. And jesus is waving from the back wall  according to the CD cover. Although we still do get our faves like 'Season In The Abyss' and 'Reign In Blood'.
Yep, the boss of the Holy Alliance has shown us once again the way. We say a prayer and it doesn't matter right now, whether Christ is an illusion tonight or the ghost of canterville, which almost ripps the walls down at the Zenith.

Fact is, Slayer are definately no illusion, great, destroying brilliant and including the most charming smile, I've got for ages in the photo pit. Merci Tom, that made the day, or better the evening. We are all wishless happy and deaf, but who cares. Amen and unholy and absolutey great.
