... and since this very day today, we got the prove on the table, or better on stage, that the future of Glamrock is secured. It doesn't come off sunny California though, but rather from north north-east, just underneath the northpol, three elkcows westward. No don't worry, we are not quite in sibiria yet, but therefor in Suomi, in other languages - in Finland. And exactly from that place, our heroes are from. According to someone who knows these guys quite well, they  go along in this fantastic sleaze-rock-fashion outfits all day and night long even off stage. But who cares. Beeing young and healthy excuses a lot. And the thunderstorm, Negative let reign down on the mostly female fans, takes it's toll. The supportact comes from finland as well, and this lot follows literatually the same path and present themselves as colourful as the headliner. The frontman reminds us strongly on a german local star, who is singing in a band named Tokyo Hotel and the guitarist seems to be Boy George in recarnation or maybe even an unknown son of that one. But as we all know Boy George prefers his own sex, and so it's a bit difficult to get this done. But however, the similarity is stunning.

However..... these kids here do their best to honour their idols, whoever this may be. The encore is dedicated to the king with a wonderful Elvis imitation. It's so funny. And with their spikey look, the Chanel make up and Westcoast designer jeans, the boys transfer the past into the present. Not bad at all....

Same thing for the stars of tonight, who start off with a hell of a lot smoke and echo. Jes.... I always thought, the Sisters of Mercy keep the record what's up to the use of dry ice and holy smoke. But this here would even get Andrew Eldritge jealous. But compared to him, here the fog is on and off and not permanently here to bring the band into the right limelight. And also Karl Lagerfeld would be be amused at such a lot phantastic design and love for details. Also in Negative you can spot out some similarities to other glamstars, most of all guitarist Lauri Markkula, or short Larry (sounds cooler doesn't it) and it wouldn't surpris me, when a  certain Saul Hudson, better known as Slash would be one of his idols. Larry is only 23 years of age and could be easily Slash's son. The rest of the New Generation Club here is also born in 1983 exept guitaristJukka Kristian Mikkonen, (known as Christus) who is 4 years older than the rest. Apart from him there is Jay / Janne Heimonen, bassist Antti / 'Anatomia' Aatamila  singer Jonne Aaron / Liimatainen and Keyboardist Snack, Nakki / Janne Kokkonen. Their idols are Guns'n'Roses and Hanoi Rocks, though their sound goes more in a nu rock direction instead of the old glam line.

One more thing is for sure, that all those pretty girls here don't care, what the boys are playing up there. The visual aspect is so much more important. And some of those blondes squeezes herself in the first row half to death to get the right view and get spotted by the band. Aparently it seems, Negative do like this situation and rock even more. And Jonne announces the fact, that there is a merch stand in the back selling some real tight sexy t-shirts. It surely seems to help to push up the sales.

Negative are pretty good, despite their teenie-boyband image, which is probaby also a bit responsible for the success of the band. They are trying hard to get their music to the fans the right way. For me personally there is only this special little something missing, maybe just a little bit more chilly in the generell vibe. But the magic is there and the success anyway. Only the raping of Neil Young's 'Out Of The Blue' (My my, hey hey - Rock and roll is here to stay, - you know what I mean, - anyway, this cover is not necessary, because we haven't got that far yet, have we?!
Over all, like I mentioned in the beginning, the next Rock'n'Roll generation is save, and if it's only because of 350 screaming Cinderellas with sparkling eyes and wet thoughts. And maybe next time it will be the double amount of girlies celebrating their rockstar heroes.
I just say - Merry Xmas and
…..my my, hey hey - Rock and roll is here to stay……
