.... and
last but not least a concert in the evening of a day, which lasted more
than 17 hours for me - nonstop. But this you can view in the diary
section.
Breed 77 is the well sounding name of this rather exotic looking
supportband. They've already got some sort of reputation. And at least
half of the aprox 200 audiance are prepared for the supergroup of
tomorrow.
Breed 77 come from Gibraltar, so they are brits what's up to their
passports, but rather look spanish and they speak of course two
languages. And like their heritage is also their music - multiculturell.
Nu Rock meets spanish folk influences, partly sung in english, partly in
spanish. The sound itself is nothing really new, but because of the
mixture with this exotic taste, it's got this special little something.
Let these guys develop a little further and collect a bit more
experience, then the name Breed 77 will be in everybody's mouth sooner
or later. - Let's wait and see....
The
only small handycap is the fact, that the music of the supportact has
absolutely nothing to do with the one of the headliner. While the first
one's rather go for a modern style, the second band are the true heirs
of Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin - no joke. How great, that we actuall
got this kinda bands. So this is the insurance, that the old rock will
live on.
Yep, I have recently already written about The Answer, when they were
here supporting danish rockers D.A.D. here in Munich. And even then this
lot was so good, that the headliner did very hard afterwards..
You can honestly call The Answer the next super-rockgroup, with a singer
who can easily compete with Robert Plant and a guitarist, who as young
as he is, can easily compete with all these guitar heroes and legends
from the past. No, I'm not overdoing it. That's for sure. They really
rock. And the party mood in this venue is getting close to boil
everybody's shoes off. The Answer got one album out 'Rise' - And every
single song is a goodie. And they even play more stuff, which is not on
that CD. (see setlist)
It's simply great and irresistable
Jesssssss... they are good indeed. And I'm stunned. I can only advise
you to go for them, for the album and come on and go and check 'em out,
next time they are here, which will be pretty soon again in march.
Only one guy came too late for this at the very last song, just to say
hello again. Because the Answer opened for his band Whitesnake last year.
So they are quite familiar to each other and most of all friends. It's
guitarist Doug Aldrich, who coindidentally is in town together with boss
David Coverdale for promotion. - However, he came in at least to
shake hands . This and the enormous reaction of the fans in here is the
nicest thank you the band could possibly have received. .
See you soon again Boys... I'll be there for sure....
