Trivium (three ways) which combines three language subjects of seven free arts, which form the studies of middle aged universitiesm in in the mathematic quadrivum. It consisted of grammar and literature. The word trivial is taken from trivium - avarage matters.
Now apart from this latin section, our Trivium here are not average at all, and they are  very young, existing as a band since the year 2000 including several line up changes and four albums. 'Crusade' is the newest piece of music, which was released this year. And there's not much more to say about these three americans and one half japanese guy. Their musical style is kinda thrashmetal, with a slight melodic touch.  And that's what gives the performance of Trivium this special little something, standing out of all those newcomer rockbands. On stage they do give a shit about visual aspects or showeffects. It's the music what counts. And the sound rolls in like an earthquake on the fujijama. You'll be amazed, there's even a ballad, -okay what you can call a ballad, and according to singer Mathew Kiiechi Heathy it's dedicated to all female fans in the audiance. The only problem is, I can count the girls in the audiance on two hands and ten fingers. And those few girle beeing here, are dressed in black not too sexy big t-shirts with heavy metal slogan and stuts juwelery, banging their heads like the male buddies.
The guys on stage are just in their early twenties, very selfconfident and majour. Respect. Apart from the just mentioned Matthew Heathy, there are Corey Beaulieu on guitar, who is in the band since 2003. Paolo Gregoletto on bass - member since 2004 and last but not least drummer Travis Smith, who is in the band since the very beginning. Also Heathy is there since the start, but not in the frontman position as rather playing only the guitar. Before that the singer was Brad Lewter, who quit pretty soon.

The band got noticed for good at this year's download festival in England, where they were supposed to play at the small sidestage. Thanks to lucky circumstances, they finally played the mainstage at 11 a.m. And within minutes, there were 40.000 people checking them out.It was the biggest success, the band had so far. Of course it's not quite as big as on this tour now, but the aprox. 400 fans here tonight do appreciate the performance with an enthusiastic applause. No question, there's a lot potential within these youngsters. And you can recognize a clear and straight structure.

Die Setlist of Trivium reads:
ENTRANCE
DETONATION
LIKE LIGHT TO THE FLIES
GUNSHOT
TO THE RATS
UNREPENTANT
IGNITION
ANTHEM
PULL HARDER

the only weak point is the shortness of the set, which is only 65 minutes. And although the event is heated by two supportacts named Wolf and Dew Sentenced, it is no excuse to pull out like this. Because most fans came here tonight to see the headliner which is Trivium. And the payed for that. So my friends, next time please - you better play a little longer than that....
