Jesus wept, it's a drag indeed. Finally I make it on time to be early at a venue for a concert at about 8 p.m. - and once again the first supportband Sabaton has played without me. This can't be true in the heavy metal religion, can it?! Sorry friends, but again I can't give you a review about the opener. But at least I've been told, that apparently they've done pretty well and Sabaton got accepted by all those mainly GraveDigger fans. And I can't deny the feeling, that most of the audiance here came because of the second group, who definately is a sort of guarantee for good old school heavy metal music before they even come on stage. Because GraveDigger found their tight position in the scene many years ago and always over and over again have proved their Talent, wherever and whenever.
It’s
Showtime and the Silent Revolution develops into - not the
last supper including Valhalla and Excalibur. And there still will be many
more roundtables in the future for another Heavy Metal Break Down. I'm
dead sure. It's a fact you're the winners even it comes up to penalty
shooting, and the strategy is - 'Heavy Metal is Fun' is your slogan. Yes,
this a true dedication I swear by sandman and in all eternity.
You just can't keep all these impressions at once without listening to it highly concentrated. At some point, you have the feeling, 1.000 bees are flying within your brain and the enjoyment walks out the door and off to andromeda. Of course it also has got something to do with the enormous length of the whole event, which lasts over 4 hours with full power. It's so exhausting, that many people left the spot early, as I mentioned before. One thing is for sure, - I wouldn't call Therion a bad band at all, but a too exhausting one to play with two other acts. Because then the pleasure on the gig gets definately lost. Even the Gothic Kabbala can't fix that. Sorry friends,
but the actually stars of the evening are GraveDigger from Cologne. And
next time I would love to see these guys as headliners again with only one
support. |
