Okay, I confess right in the beginning this time I missed out on all three supportacts, and they had to play without me. So I can just mention, who this had been. Hungarian Export 'Tenside' opened up the evening. 'Rapture' did a prayer afterwards and 'Izet' set the amen in the end. From the last act I caught at least a little bit in the very end - rocking and rolling over the stage - in the truest sense of the word. Holy shit!!! This is what I call - not really a skinny shape conquering the top of the world, - sorry stage I meant to say. And I have to admit, the visual aspect left more impression in the end, than the acoustic.

Viva Hungaria, the Puszta and the Balaton-Lake, and right now at this very moment - Ektomorf, the, still young Thrashmetal hope, who gives the peppers even more spice, of what they got anyway from this country.

So what? Actually Zoli and Csaba go on together for a life time anyway and have grown up as brothers within the tribe of the so called Romas. And they have experienced all those good and bad things and the discrimination about it. The twosome founded the band 14 years ago, not only for entertainment reasons, but also as kind of a rebellion to rework the system. Tracks like ‘Gypsy’, ‘I know them’,’Outcast’ oder ‘Set me free’ do express all the problems and pain etc. However, since 1996 six studioalbums and one livealbum have been released. And since the Cd „I scream up to the sky“ in 2002, Ektomorf do receive the necessary attention, the echo and the success.

those are also here tonight....

During the past six months Ektomorf have played almost on every festival you can imagine and have pushed their popularity up a few levels higher. The clubgig tonight pulls aprox. 400 fans, which is, compared to other events of this genre, rather a lot.
The slogan is 'Jump', - and everybody is following this call. Zoli repeats himself again and again after every other next song, again and again and again: "jump, jump, jump". And the Kiddies luv' this little guy, who is, to be honest, quite pretty. - "Jump, jump and once again jump" - in broken english with a sexy hungarian accent. And his eyes are sparkling lighter then a whole boyband ever can manage. :-))) He's just perfect, the look, the voice, - yeah maybe there are a few inches left in the height and physical construction for the visual perfection. But as we say so, nobody is perfect. Oh, maybe it will draw a few more girls to concerts of Ektomorf in the future. One thing is for sure, - Fashion King Karl Lagerfeld would employ Zoli from the spot, I'm pretty sure about it.
But we rather prefer our little Roma Boy in the middle of his band, so he and  his mates continue to please us with their soft  and smooth melodies with this social critical touch. And they really do so with all their  power they are able to. The rasta-dreadlocks are thrown round and round and the jump on stage is done by some 3 numbers too big bermuda shorts. The vibe is pushed from stage and back again, and aerobic gets into a new dimension. "Jump, jump, jump" - again and again. You don't need any extra anabolica. Hopefully every Ektomorf fan in here has got a good life insurance y the way. Because it looks quite dangerous this hungarian thrashmetal squaredance.

...

Ektomorf have just reached the surface out of the music jungle of countless metalbands of this type. They've got a huge aura and a slight exotic and individual touch. The rest is a matter of taste, I'd say.
For me, this group seems like the next generation of bands like Slayer. A new generation who trys to give thrashmetal a fresh new face with something, which ain't really that new.
To be honest, I've got some doubts, whether Ektomorf will have such a long carriere like Slayer. And that has nothing to do with their talents or current popularity. That's why I say: enjoy the moment and get outta it, whatever you can boys.  I truly grant you this.

PS: what about a real hungarian Gulasch. You've gotta try this once in your life. Because it's hot, very hot indeed. -
Almost as hot as Ektomorf.
