okay, I confess, I got back to normal, that I have missed out on both supportacts tonight - the newcomer 'Engel' from Sweden, who filled in for danish rockers Hatesphere. And also from Sweden - Amon Armarth. Sorry about that. Though I wanna put the setlist here, to show, that I don't ignore them. Only the last 5 minutes from the second supportslot I catch up with. But it's too less to make a decent judgement. Next Time I'll be earlier on the spot. I promise....
At this time there are already 1.500 fans of dark image and even darker metal, celebrating christmas and easter in advance because of beeing glad all over to be so close to their gods of Death- and Blackmetal. The hellparty is more than boiling at the second band, and it gets even hotter, when Dimmu Borgir appear within the foggy atmosphere with fake fire for a photogenic strip. (it's probably been the fault of our tough Munich authority for the missing pyroeffects. But we know this problem anyway) Just for the generell
knowledge.... A Dimmu Borgir originally is a certain kind of lava stone
form of the volcanos on Island. But not to get it wrong.... our Dimmu
Borgir are from Norway and have raised up like phenix from he ashes 14
years ago. Eight albums, whereby some of them have been rereleased over
the years are the result. They started out stylistically from pure Black
Metal to now Black Metal with neoclassical influences which are not quite
accepted by some hardcore fans. Although the popularity has increased over
the past year because of severy chart positions in some countries. The drumkit is situated on
the right top to put the focus more on frontman Shagrath (Stian Tomt
Thoresen) and the Videoscreen in the back. There ain't too much movement
either. Maybe it's because of the costumes or the heat of the imaginary
hellfire. |
