Somehow, this event doesn't seem to stand under a good star, as we say so. Doors opening at 8 p.m. But it didn't 'till 45 minutes later. Thanks god, it's been pretty warm and not 10 centogrades minus, otherwise it would have been killer. But it's also the guestlist which is not at the door. Strangely something like this always happens, when a recordcompany from somewhere else than munich is responsible for such a thing. No, I do not wanna accuse anybody in particular, because things are always depending on several subjects. And in the end, thanks to the printed e-mail with the guestlist confirmation, it ain't a problem furthermore. Again 45 minutes late, the first of four bands is starting off with their set.  My job tonight is once again taking pictures for a magazine. which is, to be honest not easy with the almost not existable light conditions.
Musically I find it quite hard to define every band for myself. And the first act is named 'Moerta' which I have never heard about before.

Their style, I'd cathegory as sort of very heavy atmospheric. Exentric progrock, performed in an intellectual way.

After about 30 minutes it's already over again, and meanwhile aprox. 100 people are waiting for No..2, who is named Ira.

I for my part like them best of all four, and despite the rather difficult heavyness, they come along quite energetic, and thanks to some edges not boring at all.

All good things are three, as we say so, and this is 'Intronaut' from California.

The only band from abroad tonight is Intronaut, who are mixing progressive tunes with smooth melodies with a Hardcore tune, most of all in singing. It's a strange mixture. And again, it's not easy going stuff, and you have to get used to such a music unless you're a real fans.

And last but not least there is the headliner - the rockband from Berlin, named The Ocean, just about to get themselves a reputation.

One thing has to be mentioned here, I have hardly ever had such bad light conditions, and during the headliner's set, there ain't no light at all  - almost. They play in almost complete darkness, and only the screen in the back of the stage shows some pictures and special effects. sorry friends, but even the best lense on the camera can cope with that.
Two singers share the frontvocals doing this so called Grindcore. But I have to admit, it's got something about it with a whole lotta energy. This certain sparkle... you know....

I keep it short and painless. But it's a fact, that the whole event lasts 'till 2 o'clock in the morning, thanks to all those delays in the beginning. For me it's the longest lasting event into the night for this year, that's for sure. However, it's surely been some kind of experience and I did not regret to have seen those guys here, though it's definately not my cup of tea. But it's not bad. And as you know, every kind of music has a right to be here.....

Gute Nacht haben einige hier schon vor Ende des Spektakels gesagt.
