Question: what has to be done, when two concerts - same style, same evening in two venues opposite to each other from the same promoter are going ahead? That's a situation, when fans don't know, , which of both they should attend, - either Agnostic Front (with two supportbands), or  Exodus with (one support).
Very simple - you put those two together and make one big event in one venue. And that's how it happens.
So the Backstage Halle is well filled and for me it starts with the two Agnostic Front supportacts
Do Or Die and the Hoods. Unfortunately I don't know, whether the Exodus support Evile had played as well before. Anyway, those two make Hardcore Rap Metal with a punky influence. And the moshpit is already getting crazy like a hurricane at this early time. No photopit of course, which means, placed on the very far right side, I try to nail down the scenery with my camera.
Yeah well, you've gotta like this music, to get something outta it. And I'm most amused about the fact, that there is actually no word understandable, whatever they sing and scream out. But fans don't mind it anyway. It's the drive, the beat, which is like  high voltage. Beer beekers and bodies are flying around, and the average mood is boiling. Not my cup of tea to be honest, and so I won't do a long review on these supports... as I can't be objectiv...

Agnostic Front come on second last, and some fans are really delighted just to  have paid for one gig but getting both headliners to see. This one here has been founded in 1982 and consists of cuband singer Roger Miret,  Vinnie Stigma (Gitarre), Mike Gallo (Bass), Steve Gallo (Schlagzeug) and instead of  Lenny Di Sclafani   Joseph Porfido has taken over the lead guitar in 2005. .
Musically Agnostic Front combine Hardcore and Punk. This here is not just Thrashmetal, but it's got a songstructure and is individual... Mirat once said: 'For me Hardcore Punk is a movement and not just 2 music styles. In one song he calls himself the Godfather of hardcore. And somehow you believe him. Apart from that, the five musicians seem like living adverts with all the countless tattoos, showing off on every part of the body you can see. No surprise though, as guitarist Vinnie Stigma owns a tattoo studio in New York.

But most of all the band is out here to promote the new record 'Warrior'. And they do so with a hell of a power, I have to admit.  And I am positively surprised. Like I said before, it's not just noise, but thrashmetal combined with a melodic vibe. Yep, I do like, what I get to hear. And it's not only me, but the whole crowd, who is outta control now. Meanwhile the moshpit is an extreme dangerzone. The only disadvantage for Agnostic Front is the fact, that they don't enjoy the length of a normal headliner set tonight. But that's rather a question of time.

Exodus  are truly the kings of Thrashmetal, and also of tonight. And a young dude standing right next to me, says very exited, that this is the first time, he will see god,... or better Gary Holt live. No surprise though, because this kid was probably not even born, when Exodus started out in 1982. From that time only drummer Tom Hunting and Gary Holt (Git) is left. (& even these two boys had left inbetween and then returned) - Since 2005 the band has got a new frontman named Rob Dukes, who occupies almost three quarter of the stage with his skinny silhouette :-))) Jack Gibson is handling the bass and Lee Altus is playing the second guitar. The 11. album is named  ‚The Atrocity Exhibition... Exhibit A’ - out last year. Okidok, that's for your average knowledge so far.... You kew that anyway, didn't ya'? - However this lot here is playing very well together. And the club develops into decibel inferno beyound Atlantis within a minute.

Bloody hell, I actually  thought, the top of the madness had been reached at the Agnostic Front set, what's up to the halleluja within this soup pot. But wrong.... Exodus know exactly, how to push on the high voltage even stronger ending up in a chainreaction. And the ampere scale is shooting straight towards the andromeda galaxy in our grey little braincells to give 'em a multiple orgasm. It's like Casanova did f.... half of Venice in the ancient times.

It's just, there are so many fans pushin' forwards now, that there ain't much space left  for moshing. It's not neccessarely a disadvantage for the rest of the audiance, ain't it. And not for me either, 'cause I still wanna catch a few impressions with my camera.  But somehow those nutcases in the crowd can manage to build another pit for their personal jungle dance. Yes okay, - it somehow belongs in this magic, doesn't it?!

To be honest, in the beginning I do a bit harder with Exodus, to get along with their rhythm. The kings of thrash and their members, whereby some of them surely have reached their 40s yet, can easily manage to keep their thron. And all this with a lot of imagecare and no mercy for our hearing aid. But who gives a damn dessert flea, as long as this - is - Exodus up there - untouchable, almighty and the 10 commandments ain't finished up yet.

But while almost all members rather prefer the mean look to care for that image including  a hell of a noise level, like I just said, so that even a deaf guy needs earplugs, - Guitarist Gary Holt smiles like a cheek little sod under a christmas tree, expecting a saucy gift. He has got some kind of interesting aura. Long talk short sense... he's got sexappeal. And that means something within this genre. Never thought this, but ... yep I see, the thrashmetal world is full of surprises.... *lol*

Now in the end, this finale of the spring european tour here in Munich is yet another success. Exodus have once again stabled their reputation. It's a victory and most of us already wait for the next time....

Yeah maybe for me it's not neccessarely the music in first place and the noise level...(hell, why am I standing right in front of those amps all the time??? Guess to become deaf and get some decent pics!) - Which I definately do by getting these nice smiles,.... Yeah, I guess I'm a Fan now after 25 years in the business and I'll be back again  next time...... *lol*
