During the past view months and even years it became quite common, that well known musicians take a certain band to tour together in one or the other country. Actually that's not a bad idea. Because it's like - one helps the other, ain't it?! The well known musician doesn't have to employ expensive musicians, and the band on the other hand is glad to have a well known name to front them and help them to become more popular.
People like Paul Di'anno, the very first Iron Maiden singer did so in the past, or Graham Bonnet who is currently on the road with the Taz Band, or Jeff Scott Soto, who just toured with brazilian rockers Tempestt over here.

In this case here, we got none other then Mr. Eric Martin, who used to sing in the supergroup Mr.Big back then. Right now he got himselves the Twin Dragons, Hardrock Bluesband from..... yeah well - New Hampshire, California and Italy. The group consists of
Fabio Cerrone (Ex-Tony Martin Band & Don Roxx (Ex-Tony Martin, Uli John Roth Band) from bella Italia . Mickey Hickey (Ex-Venom, Carcass, Cathedral) and TC Tollinger (Ex-TM Stevens Band, Plasmatics, Joe Lynn Turner)
are americans and singer Nathalien Peterson is an american aboriginel who has sung and played on records of Eric Clapton, Howlin Wolf, Savoy Brown and more. .. So you see, those are all musicians with a colourful past tense.

Twin Dragons Setliste - only

And these senores are here tonight at the Village Club including the ever youthful Eric Martin, where his collegue Richie Kotzen played about 3 weeks ago. But compared to the Kotzen gig, the fans are not that many showing up here today. However I don't necessarelly think it's up to a lack of popularity or ads, but partly it's also the real bad weather conditions, which lets people rather stay at home. Instead of 30 minutes drive from Munich I need almost the double amount of time because of the pooring rain.
Anyway, support comes from italien band 16V and I miss 'em. But it's not because of a delay. It's because I'm sitting here with Mr. Martin doing an interesting interview, which will be on this site shortly as well. That's why I say sorry to the nice raggazi from Italy. Next time I'll be there for sure to check 'em out.

The Twin Dragons start their set just after 10 p.m. - And despite this mixed up Multi kulti club  with all those different roots, the Harmony sounds almost perfect. Big Nathalian seems to be born for the blues and Mike Hickey shows on guitar that he can easily do other stuff than Black Metal like in Venom. The songs are carried away from heavy Blues but also emotionally fast. In each case a very interesting performance. which goes down pretty well at the audiance.

After about 45 minutes Eric Martin is announced as special guest. And he comes, looks out and wins  with a mice and a guitar... He still has got a terrific voice, but is also the born entertainer and performer, who likes to joke around, whether it's the local situation, the band or even himself. He presents us a nice set consisting of his solo stuff as well as Mr.Big songs‚ most of all of course: To Be With You’ und 'Daddy, Brother,Lover,Little Boy'. Of course, that's what the fans wanna hear, when a former member of Mr.Big comes on.
No seriously, Eric Martin seems, as if time has stood still at him. He's still looking like 25, only the hair has got a bit shorter, which suits him actually very well and lets him look even younger.

Respect, that's Rock'n'Roll like it should be,- just in a small frame. Eric's appearance lasts about 50 minutes. Then he's gonne again, and the Twin Dragons close the show with four more songs and one encore. No not quite, because the singer is loosing a bet in beer drinking, so they have to do even one more song...

Die Show is over….. and it was good entertainment – but stop..... that's not quite all....

Because a little later, when only a very few people are left, Eric presents us a nice little solostint, accompanied by all these little italien guys and the Ex-Blackmetal head on the bongodrums. Around 2 o'clock the magic is finished...
So all I have left to say, thank you for a good night out ..... and who cares.... it's only Rock'n'Roll....
Good night.
