Although  two acts at the same time are rolling over Munich tonight, the choice ain't too difficult, what concert I will prefer. There is either Bryan Adams our all housewife rocker, who is playing at the sold out Olympic hall for the 150.000. time. To be honest with you, he slowly gets on my tits as often as I have seen him playing live and took pictures of the sunnyboy of all mothers in law. And recently he keeps coming back every year, though he certainly doesn't need to as the money still flows heavily for him and venues are always still crowded, despite of the current Octoberfest and a famouse soccer match tonight.
Because of this and two more reasons I rather prefer the gig of swedish rockers 'Hellacopters', who apparently are doing their fairwell tour. But well, many other artists have announced and donw  a fairwell, just to be back again with a reunion after a while. That's why I'm always really careful with the word - fairwell. Apart from that I do have an official photocall as well for one print magazine. And last but not least, I've only seen this lot twice before compared to the countless time - Bryan Adams and his smeter song ' Summer of 69', which is still played on every second radiostation at least once a day. Good for Mr.Adams and his royalities. I would say so.
But let's stay with the Hellacopters, who are playing same time at the Backstage Werk, celebrating their good bye....

Starting off with a new, young german band named Boozed.....

Some of us here in Munich may remember them, when they supported Turbonegro in the Elserhalle. And slowly but well the stone gets rolling and the name get's known. That's okay, because these boys from a city named Bramsche in the north of Germany take care for the first big surprise tonight. Because they are simply great. I mean, when a young artist wears on stage a t-shirt with a Social Distortion logo and the other one a shirt with the WHO Logo, then I must admit, I do like it from the start. Well stopp kiddin'. But both are wearing their message with a certain right, because what they are doing up there on stage is straight forward Power Rock'n'Roll. The boys name it Acid Blues by themselves, so they named also their album from 2007. Boozed are: Markus (voc), Nico (git), Poni (git), Tim on Bass and Ugge on drums. Surely they still miss quite some experience, but they make it good with their youthfull energy.

unfortunately because of compressing the clip for You Tube use,
exspecially the sound quality suffers and gives maybe not the exact impression

A bomb is exploding, and Boozed are pushing up all these Hellacopters fans up into higher grounds before the mainact is even on. I can only advise you to listen to this lot, because they certainly belong to the rare category of heirs of the classic rock style. Please guys - don't get lost in the future, won't you?!

The Hellacopters start their show like usual...

with a lot of fog and dry ice, much to the pleasure of us photographers, who's biggest enemy are the white cascades of fog. Taking pictures gets truly an acrobatic act, and each of us takes quite an effort to at least some decent shots out of this visual misery in the beginning of the show.
Don't forget, that we only have got the lenght of 3 songs to complete our visual documentary.

The place is pretty crowded here. I must confess, I had some doubts, because of the Oktoberfest and also the soccer match, not so much because of Bryan Adams.
Crowded means about 1.200 fans, who squash each other half to death to see their favorite band for the last time on stage. But like mentioned in the beginning, the word - Fairwell - is a very deficile notion. On the other hand practicing a fairwell, has often developed into a clever marketing strategy in the past. Apart from that, the Hellacopters haven't changed a lot at their show. It's still fast, punkrocking and very professional. I only miss... how shall I name it?... a small personal note. Because there is literatually no real connection between band and audiance. It's like an invisible wall. Whereby some of the freaks in the first few rows show their devotion with an intensive stage diving towards the stage. It's only, that the swedes ain't really touched by that. They are playing their bit - clean, hard, fast and brilliant. But there is still some tiny aspect missing....

Maybe it's the swedish mentality, who know's. At least the Hellacopters say good bye with style sometime in the middle of the set. Because in the very end, they just disappear in the once again heavy white fog. And at this point we won't get any good bye anymore.
No we certainly can't complain. The last show of this and here in Munich has done very well what's up to the quality. Only as I said before, for my taste I missed this little famous sparkle and the fact, that much of their music sounds similar due to the always same beat.
Apart from that, there is nothing left to say but let's wait and drink tea. Maybe sometime in the future we get the big reunion tour. And then we all will be there again for sure.... you bet!
