... and the Swedes are back again in a double pack.... speak: headliner and the 2nd supportact are from the land of the midnight sun, yeah sort of... And there we are at the right topic, because thanks god, there is a third supportband, the opener... Yep you  heard right, I, who usually hate too many bands in one package, are quite pleased tonight, that there is a threesome. If this  first act would not have been, then I would have missed out the second support. - No, not because I'm always late. It's because I had to do another job on a red carpet - movie premiere on the other side of town. and as you all know, you can't dance on two weddings - as we say so.
But so, I just arrive in time at the Backstage venue, when chapter 2 named Bullet are starting their set

They are in Munich for the very first time, as they tell me later on. So no surprise, that not just me, but almost everybody in here is checking out a new band.
And yes, Bullet are a nice surprise. Long talk, short sense, they are really good. Despite their youth, these guys have adopted good old eighties heavy metal and they try to transfer their interpretation into the present. Singer Hell Hofer is rolling across the stage and takes it by storm, as his biggest wish is, to gain even more weight to get more and more power. Two six strings are played by Eric Almström and Hampus Klang. Gustav Hjortsjö is sitting behind the drumkit and the bass is handled by the obviously girlie fave Adam Hector. - The cataloge of Bullet includes one demo, one EP and two albums. Whereby 'Bite The Bullet' has just been born in 2008.
And these boys who all could be easily my sons are very enthusiastic and motivated. So what else could you possibly want to stretch and reach out for the future.

Bullet - live in Munich

Music goes in circles - John Lennon once said. The Eighties are celebrating a Come Back with Bands like Bullet. -
And whereever he is right, - he is right.... I mean John Lennon of course....

With the Headliner - the Backyard Babies, we once agin get the usual questin: how do I pester photographers?

It's rather simple.... you put the whole stage into dark red light during the first 3 songs, and of course - no flash.... Yiiippiieehh - we luv it, don't we.... And so again we desperately swear and try to get at least something outta this misery. As soon as the photocall is finished, and we have left the pit, the lights go on, and the view to the stage is clear and light again.- To be honest, I have never understood, the intention behind such a strategy. Strangely the so called superstars never have a problem with such a thing, though they don't even need press anymore. But in this case, it seems, the band sort of hates photographers or something like that....
Just to mention it on the edge.

live in Munich

By the way, the temples ain't far from sold out, not like for instance recently the Hellacopters, where we amost got squashed to death. I guess, tonight there are aprox. 700 fans...maybe even less...

The show ain't nothing really special and the Line up is still the same. To mention is only the new selftitled album. And that the reason for this tour. Although somehow I miss the last sparkle in their performance tonight. This special, little something , which I always loved so much at their concerts. But this time there is no wind in the air and I ask myself, whether this is due to a long touringschedule or just a bad day syndrome.
No you can't say, the Backyard Babies are bad... They still do their program like always. But as I said before, something is missing. Not Dregen on guitar nor Nicke Borg on voc/git. can make good for it. And I include my opinion, that the energy of a band is half as strong, when the singer and frontman handles an instrument at the same time. Yeah well at least with some acts... However to pray a final amen in this case - it has been okay, but it has not made me jump up for joy.
My respect goes to the support acts... who we all should remember for the future...
That's it...
