It's most
of all frontman and singer Sir Hannes, who is presenting his alterego with
a posh no hairstyle, an artifical fur and a blinking light earring. Oh
yeessss, what a hell of a beauty. And somehow this Brad Pitt of
Psycho-Rockchicks seems familiar to me. Yes I remember this show from a
band named 'Phantom Of The Future' in the early Nineties here in Munich.
Jesus wept, how did we laugh the hell out and that Rock'n'Roll comedy got
stuck in my memory. Now I'm not quite sure, whether Honigdieb should be
the continuing of the Phantoms or not. But Sir Hannes is still the same
and still hilirous crazy. (where did you leave that little dwarf from then) The highpoint of Sir Hannes 45 minutes supportslot is the song 'Pornostar'. And I can only advise you, if you got the chance go and check it out, you won't regret. Honigdieb are truly a good laugh worth it.
http://www.honigdieb.de/ Mustasch come from Sweden and just celebrate their 10th anniversary. Ralf Gyllenhammar, David Johanesson, Mats Hansson and Mats Johansson originally played in a punkband named Grindstone. But it didn't last very long. Several years later they got together again in 1998 and Mustasch was born. Their style is called 'Stoner Rock'. Until now, the swedes can look back on 2 Ep's, 4 studiorecordings and one Best of... CD. Their sound is heavy and includes some elements of the seventies, But the way of performance is very modern and fixed on here and today, if you know what I mean. In their home country Sweden they are almost superstars and have just been voted to the best Hard- & Heavy Band of the country, even before Dark Tranquility etc. Inbetween the songs, singer Ralf Gyllenhammar is trying out his german knowledge, which are pretty well, but a little mixed up - very amusing indeed. But it doesn't matter really as it is very entertaining as well. Cheers, and he seems to luv our bavarian beer as well. No I can't complaing. Though this steaming stoner rock does not fit to the other bands, like I said before, it goes well down at the audiance. And whenever the band is back again, I'll be there as well again....
I don't think I need to introduce you to the Die Apokalyptischen Reiter... Because this band around
singer and frontman Daniel 'Fuchs' Täumel has it's place in the lexica of
german language rockchapters. Next to Fuchs the focus is surely Dr. Pest,
who spend's the breaks inbetween his keyboard performance with swinging
his wip, of course dressed into a neat sado maso outfit. Now and then he
steps down from his thrown and shows his wip to the kids in the frontrow.
It's very photogenic, the lightconditions are great and very entertaining
as well. A pyroshow would be great as well. But I presume our infamous
town authorities would talk a word. And they always do in a negative
sense. So I guess, in this case here, nobody bothered to ask in first
place. At least they put some sort of torch on the left side on the stage
to give the show the right feeling. Another focus is surely Lad Cat Man on
the 6-strings, who does not give herself enough attention. A little
more selfconfidence would be good, and she would be the queen of the stage... The Apokalyptischen Reiter
are seeking the contact to the audiance in every way and even ask their
fans onto stage. Also Sir Hannes from Honigdieb joins in at stage party.
And 500 fans here at the
Backstage Werk are standing on their heads because of so much fun and
enjoyment and push themselves almost up on to the ceiling. This here is
truly nice show with a decent metal sound but spiced with a lot of humour. |
