Tonight here in Munich our Countryboys from Berlin have probably received their biggest compliment ever, and they are not even aware of it. Because next to me in the audiance, long time after the official photocall, two american guys show a lot of enthusiasm about the Boss Hoss performance. And one says to the other: 'where are these two singers from'? - And the other answers: 'Oh you can hear that, they are americans from Texas of course'.- Wauw, this is very impressing. Because immitating the texas slang so perfectly, that not even an american recognizes that they are not even native english speaking guys, this is more than difficult. How Alec and Sasha a.k.a. Boss and Hoss do it, - I really don't know. I myself have lived for 5 yeas in Great Britain and learned the language much better than only from school here . And I still use the language. But I only have to say a very few words, and evey english or american guy would immidiately ask me: 'are you german'. Well I could say no, but not because I do not have an accent, - but I'm really not german but austrian. Never mind, that not relevant for our brothers and sisters in oversea, as they can't make a difference between a german or austrian or swiss accent. But beeing a german and get mixed up with a 100% texan JR Ewing relative is somehow remarkable. And this is probably one of
two reasons why Boss and Hoss demonstrate their cool slogans and
announcements between the songs in this brought american slang. The other
reason is simply imagecare. Well you could both reasonst put into one.
The rest of the glory Seven
ain't bad as well. Whether it's Tobias „Ernesto Escobar de
Tijuana“ Fischer, who's got the magic eye glimpse or Stefan „Russ T. Rocket“ Buehler
on guitar. Andre' „Guss
Brooks“ Neumann is handling the bass and the washboard, mandoline and
harp is played by Malcolm „Hank Williamson“ Arison.Ansgar „Frank Doe“ Freyberg
is standing behind the drumkit to overlook the scenery clearly. The hot chilli we get
served by BossHoss is spiced by Internashville Urband Hymns, Rodeo Radio
and Stallion Battalion and dipped by special effects on the imaginary open
fire cooket to great Country Rock music. And every Cowboy and Girl likes
the taste, no question about that. To be honest, before this day I was a
bit suspecious, whether the fire to success Boss Hoss started about 4
years ago is gonna die sooner or later. But after this here, I doubt it.
The fire still burns very high, at least here in Germany, Austria and
Switzerland.... Howdy the Squaw has spoken.... |
