Whom of us does remember the elegant discussion between Oasis and some italiens in the Nightclub of our No.1 Hotel Bayerischer Hof in 2002. The result were 2 lost teeth of LIam, one night in jail and two cancelled gigs. Whatever happened afterwards is not known. Meanwhile quite a bit time has passed and even more scandals have happened. But on the other hand, without those, the Gallagher brothers wouldn't be that 8in)famous, like they are. Apart from their music, which has received so many awards so far, that it would go over the top, to count them all now. But over all, it's is in the end exactly 2 songs, which are the ultimative pseudonym. This is Don’t Look Back In Anger’ and ‚Wonderwall’. With these two tracks the whole Oasis philosophy is told. Their latest release entitled ''Dig Out Your Soul' came out last year and was once again a No.1 in Great Britain and in Germany at least on pos. 8. And the story of the prolo britpoppers  continues. Now they have landed once again in Germany to promote this records. The band consists apart from the Gallagher brothers, of bassist Andy Bell, who came in in 1999, also rhythm guitarist Gem Archer, and there is drummer Chris Sharrock, who came in for Zak Starkey. By the way, Sharrock was formerly the drummer of Robbie Williams, and the Galleghers don't see him as a real band member. In addition they've got a tour keyboarder, who get's introduced by Noel Gallagher as his babysitter sometime tonight

Oasis are Liam & Noel Gallagher

& Liam & Noel are Oasis and noone else

However, I doubt it, that Oasis once again spend the night at the Bayerischer Hof. Probably got a ban for lifetime, because of the risk, that they once again destroy our posh nightclub into pieces.
Most important is the fact, that our unloved Zenith venue is absolutely sold out, which means aprox. 5.000 Tickets and their Purchaser.
And the crowd arrives by walking or biking, as our public transport is on a 24 hours strike here in the city. I guess, I don't have to mention the parking slots, which are completely over occupied.
Support comes from english band Glasvegas.

They are also playing this kind of Britpop, but they somehow seem a bit colourless. The band plays their program without edges or highlights. the only focus is the female drummer on a mini kit, where she plays it only with her arms and hands, but no feet involved. Seems a bit strange and maybe that's the point, that everything sounds a bit monotonous. And last but not least it's a fact, that everybody here is waiting for Oasis, and this lot here only get's accdepted as an neccessary opening act.....

The audiance is nicely mixed ensemble of old Oasis fans, some youngsters, who see the band for the very first time, and some who have just been curious. I have to mention one thing in the very beginning. We all know that the sound conditions of our Zenith are not the best one's anyway, but tonight's custardpie is absolutely horrible.
The break lasts a little too long, but you've gotta give Oasis one thing. Gallagher and Co do start their set strike 9 p.m. and they do actually play for 90 minutes. You've gotta mention that, because with these two infant terribles, you never can be sure, what's happening. And there have been some ugly surprises in the the past. But apparently tonight everybody is in a good mood, and they shoot off with 'Rock'n'Roll Star' a prayer to their own big egos, followed by Liams odd question:
„are there any english people in the audiance?" For f... sake, are you guys here to play for us german fans, or did you expect, that everywhere else there are only Brits as well? Of course the reactions are zero.

Apart from that, the first 25 rows have decided to play third worldwar, and our stressed security has got a hell of a work to handle this problem, as you can see on the picture below.

Liam Gallagher is doing his part with sort of a indifference and attitude which says: kiss my butt.. and he doesn't take of his coat during the whole show, though the temperatures have risen to an almost boiling point. Jesus wept, and he doesn't even show a single drop of sweat.

All this is underlined by an overdimensional light construction. To be honest, I and some other's as well, would prefer rather an overdimensional sound construction. Because exspecially here it is proved once more, how much can go rotten because of bad acoustic. Throughout the show, Liam is vanishing a few times, and Noel takes over the lead vocals. At some points we even fear, that Liam won't return, but he does - Respect. But in the end and concerning the whole event, I do miss the chilly, if you know what I mean. I can't even tell you, what it is exactly, but I could easily imagine, that this band would come across much better in a smaller venue. But on the other hand, this is no question for a band like Oasis.

The normal set closes and continues almost immidiately with the encore and closes down with the Beatles Cover 'I'M the Walrus' and the fact that Liam gets one girl on stage, hugging her and giving her his microphone.Though  I have some doubts, that she could keep it later on.
Liam and Noel jump off stage after the last tune, into the bus and thanks to an already arranged barriere, they are quicker off, than the first fan has left the building. That's how superstars do it, don't they...?!
Alrighty, I presume for the Die Hard Fans it is probably the event of the year, while other people like myself say: okay we have seen them once, but there ain't no need for a second time.
