I remember very well, back then, it must have been sometime in the middle of the nintees, when these guys came to my house and homestudio for a radio interview. And thanks to a delay of myself, the sight was hilirous, showing them like behaved choirboys, sitting on the pathment and wiping it cleas with their buts. Great, and i presume, some horizon at the South pacific could not have been nicer.
Well, that's a long time agao, and I didn't have a camera on hand to hold this moment tight for memory. But meanwhile everything has changed anyway, and there is nothing left from back then exept the name and the musical style.
Although there has never been an interruption within the band's carriere, as the line up changes went fluently, like one hand gives the other.... if you know what I mean... and this always hard but heartly.
So, finally I've found the time, to get another impression of Megaherz 2009 - live on stage at the Backstage Werk here in Munich. The thunderstorm is happening as part of the annual Free & Easy festival weeks, which means, all event during this time are for free. Mind me, you still gotta buy your own drinks. But free & easy means - full house... which again means in the beginning rather a crowded front garden and an only half filled venue. (venues, as the Backstage areal has 4 venues all kind of sizes)

So the first band and opener 'Blickfeld' plays in front of a rather small audiance yet.u Braunschweig Fans berieseln lassen.

Frontman Andy rather goes for a sophisticated style with his black Gucci shirt and a white Boss tie (that's what I think, it is) - and he seems like Al Capone in his best shape. Only the fiddle case is missing. You know, that box, including everything else than a fiddle.
Never mind, it's showtime, and our northgerman dressman accompanied by Ali Khan... oh sorry - J. on guitar, Tommy Boy on bass and Olli on drums start off with their accoustic session dedicated to the Sex Pistols, Ramones and the Clash - god bless 'em. The lyrics are in german language and come from the hook (in german "aus'm Stand") That's the slogan and also the title of the new album. And that one again, Blickfeld have created and produced to save the world from boredom - as they say so....

Indeed, there ain't no boring second within the band's set here in Munich. And although later on some fans of the two other participating bands, show a certain aversion about this lot, I have to say as a neutral spectator, that I do like what I get to hear and see. The Cosanostra from Braunschweig fronted by Al Capone's clon, deliver some energetic punkrock, which doesn't need to hide. They are young, they've got peppers in their butts, and they intend to conquer the world, without lovesongs and a strong aloha. And now we play Bonnie and Clyde, and dare you all narrowminded Rammstein freaks out there and don't give 'em a chance....

Well done, Mr. Punkminister. The next party in Napoli, Palermo or Braunschweig, or wheresoever, is certainly in good hands....
off we go and shoot to thrill.....

We don't get much of a break and just manage to reduce our worst urge for liquids, when 4lyn come on and take again all the oxygen from our tortured bodies.

Jesus wept, but within the first few seconds, I truly think Zimbl from the Bates has risen up again from beyond. The visual similarity is spooky, Don 'Brasko' Cazzato is publishing here. But well, maybe  his posh Coco Chanel eyeliner surrounding his eagle eye, takes care for this first impression. Nevertheless, this young lad puts out some kind of Jimmy Dean image, and he knows exactly what he wants and going for, showing off with some typical body action, not to forget his special tenor.
This band from Hamburg,Germany, just celebrated their 10th anniversary with a DVD entitled "Live in Hamburg". And another fact is, that the 4 young little Nasties are always welcome here in the south in Munich.
There is also Swedens male supermodel Markus Schenkenberg, at least his inspiration, who is named Björn „Deee“ Düßler and handles the bass. His slim shape and erotic timbre have obviously inspired main man Ron ‚Bras’ Cazzato for this introducion. Who cares, we are all beautiful in one or the other way. And mind me, that's not the point in the end. It's the art of performance which counts. Meanwhile the living room is well filled with a young crowd, which consists partly of 4lyn fans and partly of Megaherz admirers. And they all go for some metal type exersicing, better known as moshing leading to a multiple orgasm. Okay, I wouldn't go that far, as with such huge physical exhaustment there ain't no power left for the golden shoot, as we say so.... if you're not Superman or someone like him....

Anyway, Ronnie Boy is trying to handle a camcorder to film the outraging crowd for a memory. Well, it's a bit odd, when you work with a cam like an orangutan with some knitting needles. But at some point it finally seems to work, not to forget to castrate a neat selfportrait.

‚World’s Gone Crazy' in the truest sense of the event. And because this band goes for english lyrics framing their music, there are quite a few doors open for an international marketing.. Two more prayers in the end as an encore and a little dedication to their personal friend and Backstage location booker Markus, the Great, and off we go again.... with a big cheers....

This is it with 4lyn's high volatage intermezzo leading into the conclusion as the last amen in the abbey: well done as well, viva the old bones, which got oiled and greased with these hard rock'n'roll rhythm produced by our young wilde ones and Hamburg Schenkenbergs and Co. And yet one request is already in the heads of all over powered fans - please come back again soon. Hamburg ain't that far as Hawaii is.... so what...?

Okidok, and last but not least our local heroes of Megaherz have to take care, that the tired audiance gets fit again and catches up with new energy.

We start off with a black curtain, which ain't ment so much for image care, but rather to give the instruments the last polish in dur and bass.
So let's get this job done boys and heat the oven. As if the 250 degrees C ain't already enough for a volument sauna. And then the
Popocatépetl erupts in Central Mexico, or better here at the Backstage Werk. Holy shite, I ask myself whether Megaherz wants a deaf snail on the bottom of the Grand Canyon  listening to a needle bouncing on the moon, or what?! After a short while my ears start begging for mercy, but won't get this, as I never ever use earplugs, and my two hands are occupied with two cameras hanging round my neck. So eyes closed and head through the walls, only the strong survive....

All the fans don't seem to mind. They take a bath in their own body liquid and the aura of Kojak lookalike Lex Par... no Wohnhaas is his last name. And this guy again gives us for one moment the illusion of a distant visual similarity to the former frontman. But soon after it shows off as a fata morgana and develops his own individuality. That one again is some sort of exalting charsim and sexapeal, showing it's real face within the second half of the stage orgy later on...

Another sort of new guy in the band is BamBam Flintstone, who's change over from old time rockers Bonfire to Megaherz doesn't seem to work out as such a bad move. He's handling the drums for 2 years now, and BamBam is certainly belonging to the drum elite here in Munich. Only his personal posing is still a bit leaking.. never mind...

The rest of the canon fire here is Christian „X-ti“ Bystron on the six strings, the other guitar is handled by Roland Vencelj for four years now, and last but not least on bass Wenz Weniger.

The set is well known by every die hard fan. And to describe it briefly - it's none compromising, very heavy, somehow brutal but still with a sense of humour. And again, all songs are sung in german language. The style is named: The New German Hardness, an expression invented by Rammstein. And that's what Megaherz sound like in a way, just a  bit more brutal and straight.
One highlight is the titledtrack of the latest release named 'Heuchler'. which means as much as Lieer. The band is joined by some funny looking guy covered in yellow and blue paint. I've been told, he's part of a local band named Aport.

Not to forget the two rock beauties in blonde and brunett, showing off every chlichee you can think off, trying to make the band and the audiance happy in some ways....

However, they build a pretty focus and complete the party with their presence and the sexy action, exspecially at the song 'Miststück' which means in english - bitch.
Well then, even an announced open end in the beginning of the show finds an end at some point,no matter how great it has been. The magic is finished at about 1 a.m. and Megaherz have surely collected some more points what's up to popularity. And I mean, a finished show doesn't mean the end of the party.... The Backstage is happy and aprox. 1.000 outworn fans as well...
and me old woman shoot off, not to miss my rendevouz with my homely pillow. bye bye and cheers.... Life is only Rock'n'Roll and we like it.....
