she's back again on tour in Germany. Actually it's the third time, that she's back to enjoy us with her rather strange kind of Rock'n'Roll. for everybody still not knowing the fact, it is of course Hollywood actress Juliette Lewis. I'm talking about 'Cap Of Fear', 'Kalifornia', 'Natural Born Killers' and of course 'From Dusk Till Dawn'. - And the fact, that she has got a lot of talents what's up to singing and performing on a live stage, she has proved already in the just mentioned movie 'Natural Born Killers'.

The meanwhile 37 years old entertainer is some kind of chamelion. She definates herself always new and new again, like a sparkling paradise bird. In 2003 Juliette had founded her band The Licks. But meanwhile she's touring under her own name again. Recently her fourth album 'Terry Incognita' has been released. Reason enough to head out on tour again. And no, she is none of these Hollywood Red Carpet Ice Queens. That's how she described her female collegues in our last interview. She's a touchable star, who stands with both feet on the ground and likes to mix up with her fans.
Okidok, our Muffathalle here in Munich is well filled, but unfortunately far from sold out. I guess it's about 750 people, who have gathered to check out Juliette Lewis out once again.

Support comes from english outfit ‚Scanners’, who consits of Sarah-(Vocals/Bass), Matt- (Vocals/Guitar), Amina-(Guitar/Keys) and Tom- (Drums)

I would describe the music of this foursome up there as sort of a independent style and some kinda hard to get used to.
Focus is the attractive frontwoman Saran, who's very unique singing is competing with the bells fixed to the mike.
These four Brits show a lot of enthusiasm, but I and also some other people just can't get much out of it.So in the end everybody is more or less releaved, when this supportslot is finished. Whoever is still interested in this band, please go to:

...Uand now everybody is waiting for Juliette. And she takes her time before going on stage -

And there she is, wrapped up in some sort of red clothes, whatever this should be. Strange is probably the best description for Juliette, whether it's her make up or her phantastic costume, or the funny movement, which remind me on a crazy chicken. Her Rock'n'Roll is a mixture of Punk, Alternative and Mainstream Rock, whereby the punk is the stronges influence. And on the whole I can only describe it as peculiar in a well done way.

Juliette undergoes a high speed training up there and my camera does hard to catch some sharp dressed pics. In each case I'm pretty sure, that her condition would be good enough for the next olympic games. Most surprising at all this action is, that Juliette combines her dance on the volcano with her powerful vocal cords. So as we all know many of these female popsinger, who are well known for their extensive dancing are using play back vocals. No not Juliette Lewis, who handles everything herself.Respect. On the other hand there is some disadvantage about it as well. Because the show lasts only about 75 minutes due to the enormous exhaustion during the set.

Juliette decides spontaniously at the end of one song, what to sing next and tells her musicians ater each other track. No, it is definately not boring, thanks to a constant hurricane up there on stage.

Higlight is an extended version of her best known tune 'Speaking My Language (from the same titled album from 2005).During this song she's introducing her band collegues. Two more songs, and the show is finished - no encore anymore, and off she's gonne.
Like I said before, the only thing to criticice is the short time, apart from that - what else to say then - operation done - patient dead....
