I'm a little
clueless right now, as I don't really know what to write about this lady
anymore. I've seen her so often live on stage in the past. And let's
face it, nothing really has changed over the years, neither her
musicalstyle, nor her stage show. And she still looks the same. Let's
put it that way, she still looks great for her age of 45 years, no doubt
about that. And you give her most - 30 something. But it's probably the
Rock'n'Roll keeping her young. Mind me, she never ever consumed any
unhealthy things either. But on the other hand she has of course missed
out on things like husband, fanily life and kids. Her excuse is
her marriage with the music only.
Well then, ev everybody has to know what he or she wants in his/her
life.... ain't it...?!

Doro Pesch has abviously
found her individually way of life, beeing established for a long time
in the Hardrock business and holding the top what's up to female voices.
But despite all these things, she somehow never managed to become a
worldwide, international superstar
On the other hand she seems to pretty popular again right now, never
mind if it's up to her music or her pretty look. I truly pronounce this
here, as it is obvious, that tonight here at the Backstage Werk, half of
the audiance have come along because of the pretty sight - more males in
the crowd then usually, exspecially in the front rows....
And because this tour has put it's focus on female fronted bands, we get
a teaser first of all named Krypteria, who's front bird carries corean
roots in herself...

Her name is Ji-In Cho,
aged 33, and has been orginally discovered within a talent show. She is
with the band since 2005, a group beeing founded 2 years earlier in
Aachen. Meanwhile Krypteria have 4 albums out, 1 EP and 1 Single,
whereby the latest release 'my Fatal Kiss' is out now for already 6
months again.
The band goes for a rather bombastic Symphonic Metal style, and the show
starts with Ji-In Cho in a white wedding dress, stripping of after the
first song and changing into a black leather rocker's bride.
This effect goes down
very well, most of all for cameras, leaving a good generell impression.
Although I got the feeling, this thing has been often done before on
stage. And so I do not get really exhilarated. Apart from that, not bad
at all, I would say, though it doesn't let me jump up the coconuttree.

And Doro comes on not long
after and is welcomed warmly by her faithful fans.
They have put 2 boxes in
the middle of the photopit, so Miss Pesch can easily reach her fans and
don't get hidden. Bad luck for us photographers, as we can't really move
around as we want. Never mind, I do get enough visuall impressions on my
sd card. But it ain't easy anyway to catch Doro in pictures, as she
moves around very fast... Respect to her physical condition and
the top form.
The same to her voice,
whereby to some that one is brilliant, and for other's it's only
screaming. I won' to da review to this, as I think it is a rather
individual matter of taste. She certainly got a hell of a routine after
25 years on stage, which is quarter of a century. To mention her band,
there is guitarist Bas Maas, Bassist Nick Douglas, drummer Johnny De and
guitarist Luca Princiotta. But you never do easy beeing a musician in
Doro's band, as you always stand in the background and the focus is put
only on the frontwoman. ...

Doro seems in a good mood
like always, very close to the fans, exploding in her own energy. The
setlist leaves no requests open, and so all fans and people go home
happily and satisfied. For me personally it just leaves a little strange
taste, as I've seen the Metallady No.1. just once too often, as
mentioned in the beginning. And that's why I do a little hard to judge
and review her. Of course this happes with many other acts as well, but
because of her unique appearace, this feeling is even a bit stronger
than usual.
Let's put it that way:
Doro has delivered once again on of her solid metalshows in her usuall
style, without any huge hights and depths, but for me, that was it for
the next 100 and something more years...
