Showtime 6 p.m. - No can't be true, can it?! So let's call the venue first just to make sure. But it's correct. These rockers truly prefer an early start. Mind me, I'm not sure, whether this is due to extraordinary common habits of the artists, or it is indeed coordinated for all these young fans. If that's the case... respect! These guys really care about their fans, and that they get their neccessary sleep afterwards.
It's happening at our concert location no.1 here in Munich at the Backstage areal. Better defined it is th smallest venue here, the Backstage Club, where dozens of 16 to 25 year old friends of this sort of Heavy Metal gather already around 5 p.m.
Wel, it's not sold out, but it's well filled. And there is still enough space for moshing and other exercises
Starting off with Artas from Austria, the same country where I'm from originally, whereby it really matters, what part you're from.

Because for us Austrains there is still a hell of a difference between east and west. It's like North- and Southpole, if you know what I mean by that. But in the end, we are all on the same globe here, so who cares.....

I do not have much information about this outfit, exept, that the boys got together in 2006 and released one studioalbum named The Healing' on austrian label Napalm Records. Stylistically they are going for, what they name - modern thrash metal. Whereby I'd really luv'd to know, what the difference is between normal thrashmetal and modern thrashmetal. I do a little hard, to be honest. But never mind. It's a fact, that everything we don't know yet, we are looking at very suspicially and we keep a certain distance to it. For me myself it's very convinient, as I got enough room and space to move around for my photoshooting. Although, like always in this living room here, there is only a dark red light situation. That's why using flashlight becomes neccessary, at least at the shows of the supportacts.
Artas are wasting their engergy and try their best to wake up the audiance. But even the direct body contact doesn't really make any sense. We are still asleep.

Musically Artas don't show me that much, so that I could judge them properly. But 1) they are the openers tonight and they play with only half of the power and even less light, and 2) these austrian rockgroup has just started off with their first release 'The Healing'. So there could be still a lot more coming up. The only real highlight is a coverversion of Coolio's ‚Gangsta’s Paradise. -
So let's wait and see and hope, that the devopment has not stopped yet. As we all know, whoever is taking a break, takes alos the risk of putting on rust.

Next one's are our neighbours from France, who rather go for the english name 'Darkness Dynamite.'

It probably sounds a bit cooler than in french These boys have been christened in 2007 and meanwhile can look back on two products, whereby only the latest relase- named 'The Astonishing Fury Of Mankind' has been officially released on a label.
Their style is Metal Core, whereby this is a description with lots of definitons. invented by all those young fans.
However it's a fact, that they not only hold what their name promises , but it also proves, that Paris is not only the city of love, but also provides hard rockin' metal. Singer Junior Rodriguez (sounds rather spanish doesn't it?) does not only pull the male audiance but also all the girlies, what's up to his visuall aspect.

Well, tonight it's obviously a larger number of boys in the audiance. These french guys do provide a little more chilly as the opener band before hand. But it's still not enough power, to get our club here shaking.

But of course there is one other problem. This young generation of rockbands need a hell of a space to stretch out, while performing. And on this little stage here, there is just not enough place. And that's one thing, you do realize. Somehow this boy seems like a colibri bird, trying to break the worldrecord in moving his wings.
Anyway, also this second supportact ain't able to get all the youngsters in audiance doing a raindance. And after 40 minutes the magic is finished again. Thanks to the consume of many pints of liquits, half of the stage is drowning. .
So well this french band has certainly got some potential, but they need a bit more time to play out all of it. And 'till then, there will be a lot of water flowing down the Sine. Au revoir.

One thing is for sure. the calm mood in the audiance at the first two bands, has been only the silence before the storm, as we say so. And whoever has thought, that it's gonna stay like that, is terribly wrong.

Because Callejon turn this place upside down within seconds. Jesus wept, the very last day seems like coffee meeting of seniors on a sunny sunday afternoon. compared to this thunderstorm here. Which makes me swear by the way. Because the sight I got offered here is three times worse than the one before with almost no light at all. First of all it's tons of fog wrapping us up, so even using flashlight becomes senseless. So let's try to just get anything out of the situation.

In addition of that fog we have stage flashlights which exchanges it's colours within a second. And not even the most expensive camera would get something decent out of that. Watch the clips, and you know what I mean.

So what else can I say? Callejon are indeed a good band, no doubt about that.

They overroll us like a hurricane in a soupbowl. and of course these german guys based in Düsseldorf, have a bit more experience compared to both supportacts. They are going since 2003 and they count 2 EP's, and 2 albums, whereby the latest albums named 'Videodrom' has just been released about one week ago. And that's of course the egg of Columbus on this tour. With their selftitled Sreamometal the fivesome are out to conquer the universe. the question is rather, will they make it or not. At last one thing is for sure. they already won the goal here at the Backstage Club. Meanwhile the temperature has risen up to the boiling point, and singer Basti doesn't miss any wink to push up the kids in the audiance even more.

My only thought here is: not for $ 1 Mill, I would join the audiance here.Exspecially at the songs ‚Kinder Der Nacht’ and ‚Sommer, Liebe, Kokain’ , the melting pot is exploding.

So well my dear musiclovers, slowly the next generation of Hardrock and Heavy Metal is taking over and knocks us nostalgic oldie rockers off the desk. Not quite yet, as we old one's can still look on our herose who many of them own a cult status. But whent these are gone and also ourselves, then the young kids will lead the regime, even their heroes are only short living one's or not... never mind.
In any case, me old girl myself, do like Callejon very much though. And I wish these boys a long existence and hopefully an even longer successful future. solong....
