Okay, let's face it, we hardly ever get a concert event placed on such an unlucky date, like this here tonight at Munich's Zenith venue. Starting off with the fact, that this tour had been cancelled twice before due to illness of singer tom Araya. First time was last December, the second cancellation was in march. As a matter of course many people gave back their tickets. - And now that we finally got the tour going, it is almost unnecessary, as Slayer are also playing most of the big festivals around this summer. And those of us, who went or are still going to one of the mega outdoor events seriously ask themselves, whether  to pay another 40 Euros for this concert tonight. - And last but not least it is indeed tonight, that the german national league play their first match at the WM Championships in South Africa. What more do you want? Oh and before I forget, not to mention the pouring rain outside.

The result of all that is a rather empty place, which means in figures: 2.000 lost souls in a cathedral which could easiyl hold 7.000. Halleluja, the mood is droping and the enthusiasm is drowning. I myself got my little pocket UKW radio with me, when I head up to Munich's least popular venue, completely soaked, when I arrive. The supportband 'The Haunted' are already on stage, but I do miss them. - 8.30 p.m. take off in Durban, South Africa, between Germany and Australia. - Off we go to the photopit, where 'Man On The Silver Mountain' sounds off the speakers, while I try to catch some of the match via the headphones of my little radio. Yeessssss
Goal - 1 : 0 for Germany. That's how we  like it. - And off we go boys (I mean Slayer by that) so that I get quickly back to my all so important soccer match. The band starts at 8.45 which is pretty early, but just right for me.

Slayer shoot off with ‚World Painted Blood’. and it does seem a little odd, by watching the bad boys Kerry King and
Jeff Hannemann to the right and to the left of Tom Araya, who almost doesn't make a move while singing. Because the doctors ordered him not to headbang anymore. Yeah well, we all don't get any younger do we Tom?  He's my age by the way. And we have to watch our health a little more carefully as back then when we were 20 something....

And right in the middle while taking pictures, I receive a short message from my mum, which says: huurraahhhh hurrraahhh - yeah well must be yet another goal - 2 : 0 for Germany. And even our local security ain't looking that grumpy anymore, as they usually use to, thanks to this delightful message.
Usually the length of 3 songs is rather short for taking our pictures. But tonight I experience, that it also can take ages. And up there are certainly not Dream Theater. You know what I mean.
To get it short my friends, this time you won't get any further review, because after the photosession I'm flying back home to catch at least the second half on telly. So this impressions here should do for this time and the fact, that Tom doesn't seem to have any voice or other healthproblems tonight. And the band plays down their set pretty decent.lthough I can't avoid that slight feeling that this here might have been the last time that we've seen and heard the hardest band in the world live on stage.Who knows? And maybe I'm wrong. In that sense let's hope after the 4 : 0 result of Germany vs Austrailia our team can stay as long as possible in South Africa.  :-)))).
