... and once again - the annual Munich Tollwood summer festival is almost over with the result, that this time we were really lucky what's up to the weather. The focus on the musical highlights was set on Rock Dinos, next to all the other show acts. We had John Fogerty here, Kris Kristofferson, also Roger Hodgson. And with Crosby, Stills & Nash we celebrate the closing of Summer Tollwood 2010 - a great show down with a lot of Woodstock feeling.
More than 4.000 people have gathered in the music tent on this very last day. And you can see the pleasance in the faces of all these elderly fans, who have conciously experienced the Woodstock era. And tonight all these fans get a dejavu  with the heroes of their youth including a coloured journey in time through all their hits.
For all the young kids, who only know the name of this act, I want to explain briefly: Crosby, Stills & Nash, also known as CSN, inbetween also going for Crosby, Stills,  Nash & Young - CSNY is a folk oriented rockband consisting of
David Crosby (formerly The Byrds), Stephen Stills (Buffalo Springfield), Graham Nash (The Hollies)  and later Neil Young. They are one of the very few rockbands, who reached a level of popularity like the Beatles in the end of the Sixties. Their carriere included many highpoints, but also quarrels, drugs, seperation and illness. But somehow the story never ended with and without Neil Young, who's got a very successful solocarriere for himself.

However, last year there were new activities evolving with Crosby, Stills & nash, and the yellow press took a profit with a new drugs report of David Crosby, who is supposed also to be the father of Melissa Etheridges kid, composed in a tube. Steven Stills suffered a serious illness, but is apparently well again. And in 2009 the band released a new album entitled 'Demos' which has got a compilation of demo tracks and unreleased songs.  out of CSN history.
The show starts at 7 p.m. without supportact, therefore the set is devided into 2 halfs. And the threesome backed by some other musicians shoot off with a very energetic version of 'Woodstock'. It could not have started better raising the average mood up to the highest level. How nice is this?!!! One musical diamond is followed by another on and the nostalgic atmosphere is at it's best and beyond. After a 20 minutes break CSN show up with an acoustic slot, also filled with well known classic tunes. (see setlist)

At this point Steven Stills is given a little rest, as he still makes some impression, as he ain't that 100% recovered. So Crosby and Nash are handling that bit on their own, followed again by a powerful final - all together now. And it is indeed Steven Stills, who shows so much skills on guitar, though his voice has got some weak points. However nobody cares anyway, because the whole event is just overwhelming with 3 Woodstock heroes , who have not forgotten their roots.

This here is  Woodstock Feeling pure without any doubts. The audiance show huge enthusiasm, actually more, than I've seen at other concerts here at the Tollwood during the last 2 weeks. It's not quite 10 p.m. when the official part of the concert is finished including the encore. And spontainously the threesome decide to come back again on stage for even one more song to celebrate the very last day of their european tour and the very last day on the summer Tollwood festival here. I for my part can only repeat myself: it's been wonderful this journey in time into the past with the interpretation of the present. The only invisible question up in the air is that one: is this it? Have we seen Crosby, Stills & Nash for the last time live. Whereby many people here certainly have seen this group for the first time tonight as well. The answer will stay open for now and time will tell. But one thing is for sure: nobody here doesn't want to have missed this here.
