First of all a big sorry about the delay of this live review. But the reason is simply called - vacation, though it's been only for one week. But as we say so: better this than nothing. The same for this review, which includes just about the first 3 songs and a little more. But guess what? Indeed, there ain't no much more to say about these Melodic Politics-Punkrocker. Things haven't much changed exept a few more new hymns each time they have been over here. Only one has always stayed the same with them, and that's Bad Religion's biggest hitsingle so far over 30 years of existence and that's of course: 'This Is Not A Punk Rock Song'. And yet again it is the last played song within the set - like always....

Suitably and coinciding to this tour and the anniversary the new product of this year is entitled '30 Years Live', a retrospective  of their carriere. Bad Religion are still: Greg Graffin (Voc), Brett Gurewitz (Git), Jay Bentley (Bass), Greg Hetson (Git), Brian Baker (Git) and Brooks Wackerman  (Drums), whreby the first 3 mentionend musicians are indeed from the original line up. The group only had constant touble with their drummers over the years.

Protestpunk however (the music itselves has always been a protest itselves) but it is a fact, whatever Bad Religion were and still are doing is Punkrock at it's best, short, aggressiv, breath taking but with a postmodern very american note. Our Tonhalle here in Munich is yet again completely sold out, which means aprox. 2.500, mostly very young fans, who have gathered here to celebrate their Punk philosophy. And that's what they do listening to all those 2 minutes carols. For us photographers punk concerts are a real drag, when taking pics within the first 3 songs. Normally this means aprox. 10 - 15 minutes, but here it is just about 6 times 60 seconds. That again means working with a Warp drive without experiments and mind gaps. There is only one things coming up to my mind while watching these guys up there acting and comparing the whole scenery to last time. it's not quite as explosive anymore as it used to be.

I'm talking about the average physical condition. At every other new show it is a little easier for my camera to freezeframe them on stage. But I presume that has got something to do with aging. I mean some of the guys in Bad Religion are heading towards their Fifties and could be easily the dad of many fans down there. But at decent punkrock band something like this shouldn't matter. And frontbird Greg Graffin does it just right. The place is boiling and steaming and celebrating a hell of a party once again. And in the end it seems, as Bad Religion are more popular than ever before...
