Maybe some of you still remember the Glory Eighties and remember Georgia Satellites with their mainstream, slightly Southernrock  style, who went to fame with one song. And what else could this be than ' Keep Your Hands To Yourself'. Apparently Dan Baird wrote this track while sitting on the tourbus. And it's about the problems the band's drummer had with his girlfriend back then. The title means nothing else than - take care about your own shit. Well, Georgia Satellites are history for a long time now, but they are still alive someohow exspecially in this song.
And Dan Baird, meanwhile almost 58 years of age, still looks like 35+ and has never taken a rest inbetween. Whether it's been his solo carriere or his second band Yayhoos, or like presently with Homemade Sin. But over all of course, he could never repeat the enormous success of the 1986 single until now. Probably I'm one of the few here, who are lucky enough to have experienced the Georgia Satellites in 1986. And now we wanna see, in how far Dan Baird has changed over all those years - or not. Together with Homemade Sin he's touring a lot this side and the other one of the ocean, trying to prove, that he ain't dead yet.

In his band there is also drummer Mauro Magellan, who was also in Georgia Satellites, though not from the very beginning. Apart from him we've got Christopher Keith on bass, who accompanies Baird since the end of the Sat's. And last but not least there is sunnyboy Warner E.Hodges on guitar, who by the way is also in Jason & The Scorchers.
And in this constallation Homemade Sin are trying to conquer the clubscene of the european continent.

In the south of Germany it's once again our Village Club in Habach near Garmisch, close to the austrian border and the alps. And about 100 guests are waiting for whatever is coming up. Mind me, there ain't much more space anyway, than for those 100 souls. And so the place is well filled, but not overfilled, which makes it pretty comfortable for everybody there.
Those americans put out such a coolness, that you could think, these are just a few street musicians, who have coincidentally got lost in here and start jamming. But then they start a Rock'n'Roll show, as if St.Peter is throwing at least a 100 bowling balls transfering the place into a high energy party mile, taking a bath in his own sweat.
The band is offering us many Baird solo songs as well as old Georgia Satellite tracks and of course the new album by Homemade Sin gets promoted. On vocals most of the Times Dan Baird himself, only two tunes are sung by Mr. Christopher (slightly dizzy) and by our bunch of energy W.E.Hodges (see clips below)

Sometime inbetween, the band is informed to play in 2 sets, because of the usual cigarette break in here. Though the band ain't used to such a thing, they do so knocking down the woods within this two times 80 minutes of straight hardrockin' Rock'n'Roll. Respect, as their condition obviously has not suffered over the years. Also to be mentioned should be the contant ecstacy of the drummer, who makes Beate Uhse look like a virgin from the countryside. And the, just mentioned energy of the guitar is twice as strong as a 25 year old athlets. Yeah well.... almost maybe...:-)

including a certain sexappeal......, which again is a little hidden in Dan Baird's case, because of the curtain of hair hiding his face most of the time. But therefore there is still the famous tooth gap - his brand.

But in the end it's the music which is most important, and that one ends in the highlight - 'Keep Your Hands To Your Yourself' - yeah well of course - what else?! - A Dan Baird gig without this tune? - No way!!!
In each case this here is not a high quality most complicated musicianship, as we often do get that here in the Village, but rather a down to earth Rock'n'Roll show to sing and dance along. Though there are some parts, where the jamming gets really interesting ending in a bombastic session of fighting guitars and more.
And over all there is so much fun to play up there, infecting us in a good way with no chance of healing... and we don't want that anyway.....

In the end let's put it that way... This here has been a solid Rock'n'Roll show, and we truly did enjoy it. - For me personally only that very last kick for an absolute enthusiastic orgasm was missing. But on the other hand, with aprox. 120 concerts every year, that high point happens to me  only once or twice a year anyway  - so what?!    - PS: I mean in music *lol*
