Well this artist should go for a second facility over here in Germany as well, or at least in Europe. Because handsome Eric visits us at least once a year, sometimes even twice with his special kind of Blues.... Rock. Because the style of this American Musician is almost a little more rock than Blues... So let's call it simply blues oriented Rock'n'Roll.

Also at this review I have to say , that there is not much more to comment on this artist, as often as he's been featured on this website before. He is good, very good indeed. Mastro Steve Vai once said, that even he himself caon learn from Eric occassionally one or the other riff. And that, my friends means something.
Eric Sardina's fifth album 'Sticks & Stones' has just been released this year. And also the band line up has slightly changed again. While Bassist Levell Price is still the same as last time, the drumsticks are now handled by a guy named Chris Fraizure, who had been in Whitesnake for a short period of time in the past. And before that he played in Eddy Money's band.
But actually those two don't play the main role in here, though they are both excellent musicians as well, those kind of, Sardinas needs as a down pillow to feather up his guitar art.

He himself owns, as I described in previous reviews, this impressing aura. And if I didn't know it better, you could easily give him a certain arrogant ego. But don't worry, He ain't like this and actually is a very nice down to earth guy, who is carrying a lot about his fans before and most of all after show. Apart from that, there are all these girls in the front row at his shows, dropping their sparkling eyes on him with such a passion, just as their mother's did with Elvis or the Beatles, just with the slight difference that those back then, were a little more famous as our Eric here is right now.
And by the way, he still belongs to those kind of artists, who play their butts off, but didn't make it yet to jump out of the Club scene onto the big stages. And you ask yourself - why?! Although the answer is pretty simple. Blues or Blues Rock is sailing on the edge on the international ocean of music. And it's the very young generation who are not familiar with this at all. And if your name is not Eric Clapton, then you don pretty hard in the Blues genre. On the other hand - thanks god, there is still a small audiance for this musicial style, and this one consists of us elderly one's who have grown up with the Blues or some Youngsters, who have been brought up by their parents with the Blues - lucky them!

Eric Sardinas move currently in an audiance circle of about 150 until 500 guests, it depends where he plays. And there is indeed a small increase  to watch. Our Garage is even more crowded as back then at Y&T. And there is not the slightest space left in here. Eric is pleased about this and he and his mates start off with all the energy they are able to, just to prove, that the Blues ain't dead yet. Robert Johnson Eric's big idol is dancing a tscha tscha tscha on cloud 7 and Mississippi John Hurt is already looking forward up there in heaven for the companionship of his musical heir. Guess he's gotta be a little patient for that, because first of all our star of tonight counts just about 41 years of age, and second Eric has surely still some plans what's up to the survival training of the Blues.
Tonight he introduces us to his newest record 'Sticks & Stones' with quite a few tracks, as well as some older pearls, most of all the one and only 'Down To Whiskey' - well of course, no Sardinas concert withouth the Whiskey.....

.... and so the red line is moving throughout a coloured arrangement of hard sliding Bluesrock smashsongs, all of them underlines by the excellent guitarwork of Sardinas. Whereby his two side musicians do get the chance to show their skills with a solo each. This is yet another 2 hours bonfire of Eric and Big Motor, that's what the band is named...

Although I can't help the feeling tonight, that our Bluesman has not wasted himself that much, as he did in the past. But well, maybe I'm wrong. In each case it's been once again a great performance what's up to Eric Sardinas Blues Hardrock. And I'm almost sure, that it won't take too long anymore, that this artists will be pushed one level higher what's up to venue dimensions. However.... and to repeat myself, it's been great anyway, and I'd just say.... see you next time....
