And once again, we've got this situation here - 2 events at one night, and both I wanna catch up with here in Munich.
Thanks to our Backstage area, second home for all Hardrock- and Metalbands worldwide, I'd almost say, - this is no problem. Because all 3 clubs here are situated to each other - 30 seconds walk away. And it is indeed possible to catch all events, as most of them have different showtimes due to the different amound of support acts or none at all. Tonight we're doing real easy. At the Backstage Halle, fitting in aprox. 600 people, - 'End Of Green' are going to play a 3 hours show with no supportact, starting of right by strike 8 p.m.

The result is, I'm once all over again late, but no worries, as there are no photo rules and I only miss the first song 'Motor'. Well just to say this, End Of Green doe celebrate their 20th anniversary with this tour. That's why they are playing these over length shows to offer the fans an extensive retrospective of their entire carriere.
The place is well filled, though not quite sold out. And in this audiance here you once again find some pretty looking wheeping willows, who present themselves in an un-colourful  grey to black or darkest black outfit including this sophisticated paleness, just to take a sunbath in the dark depressing sound of End Of Green.
Yeah well, same love same interests, and the band is showing their fans the way to follow, most of all singer Michael Huber, who's designer hat - of course in black, and the dark Coco Chanel eye make up give him - how shall I say - this special kind of aura. In addition to that he own's this very dark voice with this slightly suicide touch, making the image complete.

As I mentioned before, we get the whole spectrum of End Of Greens back cataloge - well mixed and shaken - from old ot relatively new. - Relative because their latest release 'Hi Hopes In Low Places' is out now for more than 2 years. It is said, that the group is working on a new album, but this won't be out 'till 2013.

And so End Of Green work themselves throughout imaginary, morbid - very last day - sceneries, rapped up in a mourning aura and this lost Zombie eyeglimpse onto to the 400 admirers. Take the programm out of the setlist below, which should be alright, though this here is the one of the Berlin show, as there is none available here.

Anyway, our german wheeping willows seem to do well, also in Munich here. And as dark the visuall and acoustic side is, so great is the party mood on the other hand in here. It doesn't really fit to each other, but as we say so: the entertainment is the main focus and most important aspect on an event. And that's what it does.
Well, I can't tell you much more about End Of Greens show here, as I leave the show at the Backstage crypt after aprox. one hour to change over to something, which couldn't be more different than anything else

But I'm a little too early, when I enter the bigger Backstage Werk where it seems, as if the whole Punkscene of Bavaria has gathered.

No surprise,  as right now the 2 days Pogorausch Festival is taking part, and we are here at Day no. 2. And as many wheeping willows you find at the Backstage Halle opposite, here you find dozens of punks with an iroqua haircut and scotish pattern on their clothes. There are many national and international punkrock acts, the so called heirs of the Ramones and Sex Pistols, -  playing those 2 days and to celebrate their life style.

But the only real icon of Punk, appearing on the second day, has still not arrived at the venue, at least part of it.
And it's because of them, I'm here tonight, because I just luv this punk legend named The Exploited feat. Watti Buchan, who is a style icon himself. Every now and then this hardest punk band in the world finds their way to Munich. Last time was in 2010 within their last european tour. Tonight this is a one night stand, the only one in Germany this year. The reason for this is, that the band is currently working hard on their next new album, which is scheduled fairly for end of the year or early 2013. And then the Exploited will surely embark on yet another full tour.
Back to the action here, where our red head is set to hit the stage at 11.45 p.m. - So meanwhile I'm checking out a little english punker
Control who are doing pretty good here as well. Mind me, I was too late to take pics of them. But I realized, that next time they are playing Munich, I will definately check them out a second time.
At some point also Wattie and brother Wullie arrive at the venue, getting prepared for their first stage this year.
Okay, long talk short sense - Wattie is fit as hell. And beeing 54 years of age, he is more energetic as some youngsters in extreme heavy Metal are.

On Stage he rocks the - meanwhile crowded place as hell, and the fans are starting an intensive moshpit and getting mad, when they only see Wattie up there-. The photopit becomes a Death zone and you can only enter this under a live risk. Mind me, this time our security is more prepared for it, so it doesn't get that much outta hand as last time.
Fuck the System is the slogan, and The Exploited give 'em the rest within the following 70 Minutes.
This is Punk, how it should be and nothing else.

'Fuck The System'

Very nice indeed, how I use to say, when I like something very much. Although punk music is so simple and straight and the intellectuall demand is rather low with it's 2-3 minutes songs. But who gives a f....  and all punks here suashing each other half to death and no eye stays dry at this enormous vibe.
The average mood becomes steaming and rollin' and ends up in a multiple orgasm. To get it straight: where Wattie comes along, noone stands on one leg anymore, as we say so. Though I can't avoid the feeling, that this show ain't that heavy as the one's I've seen before. Maybe because this is just a one night stand. And we can't look around that fast, as the party is all over again.
So last but not least the only thing left to say is: please don't take too long for the new album and more important - for coming back here to knock us down all over again....

Result of this night is: Dark Gothic Rock meets ferious punkrock. Both has it's challenges, and if someone like me has got an open mind for different music styles, then this should have been a nice and rather interesting evening out. Both - End Of Green as well as the Exploited were worth while to check out, whereby my personal fave is of course the punk icon. So Wattie, please do me the favour, and be back soon, won't ya' ?!.....“
