Nine studioalbums, 3 live recordings and 2 compilations, this is the so far result of the australien Bluesrock guitarist Michael Vdelli, and this since the year 1997. Whereby the focus os his music lies definately more on rock than on the blues. His father brought him to music at a very early age, where the two appeared live under the name Billy & The Kid as the houseband of the Rottnest Island Lodge Resort on Rottnest Island, which is situated close by the australien continent. Thoughout this time Michael got to know drummer Ric Whittle, who is known as one of the best drummers of Australia. With him he founded the band Vdelli. And since then Ric is still on his side, while the position of the bassist has been exchanged several times. Currently it's Leigh Miller holding this job.
The latest release of Vdelli named 'Take A Bite' came out about 2 years ago, and a new record ain't in sight yet. Although Michael Vdelli doesn't hesitate to continue to tour the world, with yet another european tour. And this is certainly okay, as nowadays touring does bring ya' a lot more than releasing new babies.
Unfortunately it's once again this drag, of not owing enough popularity not to be able to fill big venues, though also Vdelle would deserve more attention for quite a while. And just to repeat myself: please don't tell me anything about missing trends or such a thing. It's rather the missing promotion, and there we are again with this saying: what the farmer doesn't know he doesn't eat.... as often mentionend before....

So that means again, fighting yourself once again throughout the european jungle of club landscape, just to catcht at least a little attention for the huge talent, Mr. Vdelli and his band has got.
Tonight we are here in Munich at the Garage and count aprox. 80 guests, which makes the club look pretty well filled. And those who are here know exactly what they will get for their money. The magic is startig with high energy  and the Song 'Wall Of Denial' continuing with 'Hard Way' to the great ‚As Soon As I Get Paid’ and so on... No compromises are done showing us once again all their skills.

This man owns a high potention of power. And it almost seems as he tries to get rid of some sort of aggression while playing, on one side with a - beating the hell out method, on the other side careing and smoothing with a hell of intensity.
Also drummer Ric Whittle gets his attention showing, he's almost more a jazz man than a rockdrummer. And youngster Leigh Miller shows as well, that he's not a beginner anymore.

Michael Vdelli, who is celebrating his 40th birthday this year is no dreamer. He knows the business and how hard it is. But he has learned to cope with it and has trained himself a certain selfconfidence up there on stage. Within the 2 hours show the threesome is offering us a good and solid mixture of their entire backcatalogue. Meanwhile Michael has tortured his guitar so much, that it's strings has jumped out of place, dancing their own Rock'n'Roll.

Result is last but not least a very entertaing high quality music show. And I'm pretty sure, it won't take too long, until this band is back again, and maybe even with a new record. And then, maybe there are a few more music lovers putting their attention of this musician. I for my part have done this quite a while ago.....
