It's just been a little over a year, that Dan Baird and his band Home Made Sinn had been here at the Village. But it somehow seems, at it was only yesterday... But it wasn't... Reason enough  to be back at this comfi homly welcome place for al friends of the advanced taste of music.
For a little prolog I should mention again, that Dan Baird belongs to thos gifted musicians, who are playing their butts off and are still damned to live below the surface within the so called club scene. Yes maybe way back in the past, once upon a time there was a little shining at the end of the tunnel of popularity, when he picked up a corn in the endless huge music industry with the Georgia Satellites.  In fact it was in 1986, when the band hit it big, with their debutalbum and exspecially the song 'Keep Your Hands To Yourself'. Over all the group released four albums between 1986 and 1989. And some years later in 1997 the Georgia Satellites gave it once another try with the album 'Shaken Not Stirred'. Then this chapter was finally finished. Since then Dan Baird is following a more or less solo carriere and is touring around the globe with various band projects. One of these groups is - Home Made Sin. And for this he could even win former Georgia Satellites Drummer Mauro Magellan. Also with him is Warner Hodgens, who is known for his participation in Jason & The Scorchers. And he is a real american orignal with his cowboy hat and boots. Last but not least there is bassist Keith Christopher, who doesn't look too happy tonight because of some reasons. But mind me, he's still a great bassplayer, no question about that...

It's difficult to say, whether the band does enjoy playing in such a tiny frame, or if they are damned to do so. Never mind, because remembering the last show last year, it was a high energy party from the very first to the very last minute. And those who are here tonight, has been there back then, but unfortunately no more. And so the audicanse figure evolves around 50 something, who have gathered here to hopefully celebrate another party ala Home Made Sin....

It is indeed starting very energetic, but rudely interrupted very painfully. Because one wrong step, and faster then the speed of sound, good ol' Dans sailing down from the 5 inch hight stage down to the ground, landing rather hard on the floor. This happens so fast, that some guests here, don't even realize. Dan continues playing in his uncomfortable position, though his eyes are watering because of pain. After a felt eternity he's getting up again and... plays on! Drummer Mauro says after the show, that they all thought, - that is it, after the coincident had happened. But Mr. Baird is tough and plays the first set 'till the end, and after a short break also the second set.

The program hasn't changed much since last time. Georgia Satellites meets Dan Baird's individual back catalogue and paying also tribute to the Beatles with 'A Hard Day's Night' . - The icing on the cake - of course:
'Keep Your Hands To Yourself... and everybody sings along with it.....

Pain is forgotten and Dan Baird can look back on a successful evening despite his fall, though he will be reminded about this for quite some days I fear. No bones are britteled fortunately. But he definately will always remember this place here... Although I believe, that this will hold him back for a return to the Village.
Actually, whoever has played this place before, has developed a special favour for it, as it's pretty unique - for musicians to play and also for it's guests. However, Home Made Sinn have done well here again, thanks to their smashy Rock'n'Rollshow and there is almost nothing which could kill 'em... at least we hope so....
