...and again for the 100.000th time and even more.... At least it feels like it.... Since end of the Seventies, this band is accompanieing me. And back then they just existed for about 2 years and had to play clubs with aprox. 50 fans. I do indeed remember one of these Live Shows very well back in 1984 in my home country Tyrol in Austria, where Lemmy and Co played a very intimate concert. Mind me, my memory rather goes back to the aftershow party more than to th show.:-)))

Only the little crowd is still on my mind, exspecially when nowadays spotting 5.000 and even more guests at one of the current Motörhead concerts. Because compared to other bands of that sort, who have only reached a half forgotten existence over the years, Lemmy, Phil and Mikkey are currently celebrating their fifth spring beyond the Midlife Crisis. It's indeed a phenomen, as Motörhead do actually the same for the past 40years with no exeption and no change. The Stage show is still pretty unspectacular and it's louder than any other one. Well they've gotta fight a certain reputation. Lemmy himself hasn't changed much either. For the other two one's I don't wanna say much, though they have been with the band for half of an eternity as well so far, but not from the very beginning. Don't ask me now, whatever happened to Philty Taylor and Fast Eddy Clarke meanwhile. And guitarist Wurzel, who had been in the band for 13 years as wel, has passed away a few years ago.

Lemmy himself has always been some sort of a loner... In the Seventies and Eighties, he mostly spent his free time at his fave club - the San Moritz in London, Soho. They used to have a pinball machine, and he didn't (and still does) not need much more. Including some shots Jack Daniels and his soul was happy. And you could always easily spot, whether he was in a good or bad mood. Because when he was in a bad mood, you just better had left him alone, otherwise ....

But when beeing in a good mood, you could have had a reall good night out with him.....

But one thing always has been the case: Lemmy came alone and went off alone.... Yes, and there were these rare opportunities, doing a private session with other well known musicians on a hotel room. This had been something real special  for other's who were there as well.

It is a fact, that Lemmy's life although beeing declared as the reputation of Rock'n'Roll, is nothing special to himself. Now beeing 67 years of age, he is celebrating his biggest success, and this for  quite a few years now. Why things have developed that way, he probably doesn't know himself. To repeat myself, he hasn't changed much it's as easy as that. And that's why it's only guessable, that the young generation simply wants to celebrate a living legend, one of those, which were woreshipped already by their parents, those, where the kids have been told many excess stories, and those, who's clock slowly runs out of time. But it's not the end yet, and Motörhead are back again, like very winter time to convince us, that Rock'n'Roll never dies, and that the spirit is still very much alive and even louder.

And though Motörhead don't aktually need any support to heat the crowd up , so there are still two like last time. And I have to confess, that I do miss out on the opener because of beeing a little late.
But for number 2 I'm in the photopit right by time. And those are very interesting indeed...

Because none other than Antrax are moshing their brains off. And we are curious about those. Anthrax is still band boss Scott Ian, then - the for the second time returned - singer Joey Belladonna, furthermore drummer Charlie 'Benante, on Bass Frank Bello and on second guitar Rob Caggiano. And where other's change a 100 percent over the years, my first thought at watching Mr. Belladonna is: Jes.... this guy hasn't changed at all within the last 25 years. How did he do it? Even the haircut is still the same. How has he managed? Unfortunately I haven't got a chance to ask him. Also what's up to phyiscal conditions, the inventor of the expression mosh are still what they used to be 25 years ago. Joey  sprints half of an ironman, what's up to his personal running speed. Bad for our cameras, fighting instantly and constantly for at least some good shots within the rather low light conditions.

Anthrax are beating themselves throughout a journey of time and not put their focus on their latest release but rather on the ace's of their carriere. And these one's are named 'Antisocial' and 'It's A Madhouse' just to name a few...
It' quickly pretty much clear, that Anthrax meet every expectations and deliver a truly explosive metal show. But as often before, I have the feeling again, that this band would come across a 1000 times better in a smaller venue in the headliner position. Don't worry, I think, it's only a question of time, until we get this. In each case, Anthrax is still a great live band with no signs of aging, showing us a bonfire of smashy mosh art.. Congratulation, this has been excellent...

“We are Motörhead, and we play Rock’n’Roll“ – that's how usually every Motörhead Show starts off.

.... and then attacking with no mercy our ears and six senses. Okay, to get it straight, this time, Lemmy has added something else after - "We are Motörhead..." but I didn't catch it quite. I believe it's been the title of the very first track on the setlist - But never mind... it's showtime, and the place is shaking 'till it's very last stone. Well I guess, that won't happen, though at least 5000 felt decibels shaking the airwaves and developing a hurricane. Our ears are battling, and if they weren't grown to our heads, they'd probably drop off instantly and would kiss the floor. No way of tiredness although there ain't no much movement on stage. But there are at least a few little changes up there, so Sir Lem leaves most announcements inbetween songs to his adjudant Phil Campbell, who is in Motörhead now for 29 Years. He nowadays trys to share more of the physical work up there to give the show a little more life as known.

The Setliste still included many pearls of the Motörhead back cataloge, but there are sme pearls beeing missed out here, just to name one of them - "Orgasmatron". But who really cares?! One sounds just like the other and is dominated by the enormous sound level. And again - one song never must be missing within a Motörhead show , whatever is 'Satisfaction' for the Rolling Stones or 'Smoke On the Water' for Deep Purple, this is - of course 'Ace Of Spades'

And this hymn, which had been Motörhead's only song ever enterering the Billboard hitlists, is finishing the official set of the show, just to be back one minute later for the encore. But I don't catch that one anymore, as I hurry up to be off that place before everybody else.
What else to say? It's been like always - loud, non compromising and brutal. And you won't find more alcohol cristened and antisocial fans like at a Motörhead show. The only question left: how often will we see 'em again? Well let's wait and see and drink tea... no sorry, rather a Jacky pure... just as the clichee requests....
