Some days after the very successful concert of Kreator - same place - another show takes part in the cathegory - Hardrock foursome package. And also at this event two bands are playing without my presence. And that was Unzucht and Lord of the Lost.
First when Megaherz hit the stage, I'm there within this more than narrowed photopit, to catch the performanice in pictures. The place is yet again crowded, but not sold out, as it was 2 days ago. But thereofre the vibe is great and the meanwhile risen temperature.....

Megaherz do cause some mixed feeling in me, as they truly show some similarities to our kings of new german heavyness - Rammstein. Not so much what's up to their outfit or stage show, but definately what's up to the music.
And there is something else, what I have noticed at various bands over the years. When they sometimes looste their frontman out of whatever reasons, they are not only looking for a decent oral replacement but also one, who is sort of a look a like to the former man. And Megaherz are no exeption in that way, when Alexx Wesselsky left in 2001. The current singer Alexander 'Lex' Wohnhaas could almost be a twin  from the generell visual impression. But never mind, as Megaherz are trying their best to get the focus right with lots of light, smoke, sound and look. And they can manage. - Starting off with 'Jagdzeit' and at some song titled you could believe in a second meaning. The band is accompanied by beautiful Kayla, who's got 2 jobs here, first of all - looking good and second - handling a female voice.

Apart from that Megaherz do a lot of phyiscal work up there. And this doesn't make it easy for us ambitioned photographers. More songs are followed, such as „5. März“ and „Herz aus Stein“ and 'Der Mann Im Mond' is performed within a special limelight - very nice for pictures indeed. The whole living room is standing on it's head, when 'Gegen den Wind' comes along and the magic ends - yes of course - with 'Miststück', And the result is a well done symbiosis of faithful german hardrock philosophy.

Mono Inc the headliner tongiht are starting off with a video, which is a review of the past, yeah well sort of.... Singer and frontman Markus Engler knows exactly how to get across to the audiance up there on stage. And again, light plays a big part here to underline the aura. He knows how to put himself into scene with the help of a small catwalk as well to be even closer to his fans. And those are grateful indeed. The girl on drums draws quite a bit of attention as well. Let's put it that way, she's certainly no Terry Bozzio or Gene Krupa, and the drumbeats have been written for her. But as we say so: she stands her man behind the kit.

In the end - again, it is Mastro Engler, who is the focus and to all photografpher's pleasure, he knows how to pose for us. 'Gothic Queen' is a great tune, as well as their adaption of Gary Moore's 'After The War'. - It's only sad, that many fans don't even know who is originally responsible for this tune.
No Mono Inc show without 'Voices Of The Doom'. I personally luv the mystic 'Arabia', but also other tracks go down such as melted vanilla ice cream. And the part, when the boss plays the piano inmidst all his fans down there tops this show.

Let's put it that way.....the band of course is one of those many follow up's who's heroes are the Sisters Of Mercy. But this lot here has got an individuality for it's own, and so we don't mind it....

Well, you can say about this whatever you want. But the evening is a well done one, though our feet are hurting after so many hours here. But hey after next night this is forgotten and the only thing left, is the memory of a very entertaining great evening...
