Under mysterious conditions, Eddie Wilson, a Early Sixties rock'n'Roll
idol dies in a car crash. His body had never been found. The tapes of
his last record had vanished.
20 years later. Suddenly the huge Eddie & the Cruisers hysteria is back, and it makes the vanished recordings invaluable precious. Whoever is going to find them, will make the big money. Suddenly noone wants to believe in Eddie's dead anymore. Questions of a female journalist si weaking up memories of old band members. What really had happened in the past? Is Eddie really dead? A secred hunt starts for the tapes. Someone is burgeling the houses of the old band. Who is it? And strange phonecalls are pushing the suspect, that Eddie is still alive. The second part of Eddie & The Cruisers starts, where the first
one is ending. But to get it briefly told again: In the year 1964 a young talented gitarrist and singer smashes his car on a bridge and drops down in the deep. His death became a legend, his body was never found. His music became a cultstatus. He left the world his heritage: "I want to be remembered for the music, or not at all". His name was Eddie Wilson. Now, 20 years later, an unscrupulous recordcompany wants to make the big money with his name and create a new cult about Eddie. And.... the put some incredible rumours into the world: Eddie lives". Only an unknown stranger is going to fight against the marketing strategy about Eddie Wilson. His name: - Joe West. His job: - building engineer. His weapon: - a guitar. His enemy: - his own past.
