Peter Frampton

alright, last but not least, - at least for me at this year's Tollwood Festival - the one and only Peter Frampton - comes alive - for the 272nd time, or is it the 273rd time. And to be honest with you, he didn't do anything else than coming alive from time to time over all these years within his carriere. And he could never top this 1975 coup with something else. However, this success from then was so huge, that he could live on that for 30 years now, and probably will do for another 20.

Anyway, Frampton is here today, right now at Munich's Tollwood Festival including his three other musicians. And an average 1.500 people are waiting curiously for the mastro, who rather looks like a primary school teacher with a certain faible for his own sex. But as exiting as Peter looks like, his performance is developing as well. And it's not only me, having this impression. And to be honest with you, if I wasn't so busy taking pictures of the mainman from every view I can get, my feet would fall asleep, and my watch would get more attention than the happening on stage. But I've got 80 shots in the end of Mr. Frampton, and I ask myself, why I did so many. No, nothing against his guitar playing, which is still great, but the presence on stage lets him seem a bit lost up there. He seems to feel it himself, and so he plays with his one and only ace "Show Me The Way". There we wake up and sing along with him. The famous tune is followed by "Baby I Love Your Way" and a 15 minutes version of "Do I Feel Like I Do". And of course - "I'm In You", his biggest hit, - which is not included on the famous "Frampton Comes Alive" album, - just to mention it.

However he gets the applause of the audiance, and he got tears in his eyes. Yep he's gonna come back, he promises the fans out there. The show is finished and I show myself the way home, and my sleepy leg is waking up again and is longing for movement. Over all, if Peter Frampton really comes back again, he will show us the way for the 274th time - never mind. I certainly will take a chair with me next time. Big kiss, and feel like I do - right now, right here and good night.

Gotthard

Okay, there we go again,... as we say so! Gotthard once again, newly rapped up, with their usual style and their old common drive.
It's showtime, boys! And they won't ignore this. Lipservice is the motto, and Steve Lee, Leo Leoni & the others hang on to that. It's time to promote a new product, which has started rather slow, at least here in Germany, as the national chartlists tell us so. But the competition is huge and a constant battle in the business.

What's up to the solid -Live work Gotthard really stand up for it. Steve has perfectioned his vocal qualities more and more over all those years, as same as with his look, hairstyle and the whole aura over all. Our little darling Leo stands for the opposition, fit like a marathon athlet, what's up to the guitar work. The rest of the band completes the picture on stage and the volume of the sound, clear, straight and almost perfect with only a very few weak spots. The light - hurrah, what a delight for us photographers. It's a real pleasure to take pictures under such conditions. I wish, we had that more often at all the other gigs. Everything could be so nice. The only sligh irritation is the fact od the songlist, which gives of course priority to "Lip Service" the new record on this tour. But they should rather not have put all these new songs almost one after each other in a row, followed all the hits in the first end. I mean, to be honest, we first have to get used to the new tunes slowly and we are waiting hard for "Mountain Mama", "Hush" and "Mighty Quinn". And only because of this, we got a slight empty space feeling inbetween. But however, this shall not be a critics on the whole event over all. Because the performance is well done like always and ever before. Gotthard are an absoluteley great live act, no doubt about that, who have met the nerv of the times and the average Rock'n'Roll feeling. The encore is the of course the new single, which is - thanks god, - no ballad, but sticks in your ear. And last but not least - this is the most important fact on a piece of music. Because in 5 or 10 years, when Gotthard hopefully still will be around, we all wann hear this song most and in the end.

So what's up?! Please try and give this band the neccessary attention, so they get the success they really deserve. At least here in Munich, people have come to this result.  Good bye and see ya' soon again.......

Yep, we still don't drink water live on stage, but rather beer and Johnny Walker . They are still the dirtiest and loudest Hardrock group in the world. And to be honest, I hope, it'll stay like that.
Our little darling Angry has nothing lost of his sexy aura, and Rose Tattoo will be the ultimative Rock'n'Roll Band in the world - for me and for many others.

Damn, I've seen the boys from down under so often in concert so far, but they have never been so good as today - and so fit. I really start believing in something what's called - the second spring. We've come around the midlife crisis and we are young again. The dance on the vulcano is not finished yet and the music never becomes out of fashion. At least the one, Rose Tattoo is producing and practicing. We still freak out at "Bad Boys of Love" and wait hard for "Rock'n'Roll Outlaw.". - And whatsoever, - Angry can do what he wants anyway. He screams, he tears out and he almost looses his pants thanx to a missing button on the right, which leaves us views to a deeper suggestions of missing underwear. Savetypin is the solution. But on the other hand, who cares. Over all Rose Tattoo are a visible sweetie dish with all it's Tattoos and Steve and Bob inclusively, cheers. And Angry Anderson is still the 100% expression of hard rockin' attitude - Kojak and Valentino mixed up with an australian charisma.

Like mentioned before, the midlife Crisis is finished and we start the party again, - loud, dirty and very mean-.
And I can asure you, if you've seen Rose Tattoo live once, you know what I'm talking about. That's it, what's Rock'n'Roll all about, no more and no less. Thanks to a further knowledge and thanx for...... okay, I get back to it Angry.....
