Yep it's true, it's always hard to dance on two weddings, as we say so, though both venues are just inches away from each other. I don't get this very often, but today I have to take pictures for two different magazines, one is a classic rock mag, the other a Heavy Metal magazine. But as a photographer, you don't really care. The only disadvantage is, one of two events gets nicklected what's up to intensive check out. And in this case my friends it is this here, where 3 Black Metal bands gets the walls shaking.

So in fact, most of the time I spend next door at the Backstage Werk to enjoy the great performance of Bluesrocker
Donavon Frankenreiter So here you won't find an extensive review, but at least I will provide oyu a few visual impressions an da short description of the bands.

Krakow is the name of the first outfit from Noway, where the band was founded by Frode Kilvik (Bass, Vocals), René Misje (Guitars, Vocals) and
Kjartan Grønhaug (Guitars). Christopher Swahn Zibell (Drums) came in shortly after. They have released one EP entitled 'Dusty Roads" so far.
But after this tour with Enslaved here, they will enter the studio in february to record a new studioalbum. I can't say much more to this chapter. But for everyone who is interested, please look at their official web- or better myspace page for further information.

The second act named Audrey Horne is the only one, I'm able to check out for a bit longer, before I have to switch again. There curious name the band has borrowed from David Lynchs move 'Twin Peaks'. Since 2002 one EP and 2 albums came out. The focus of the foursome is surely singer Toschie, who's look rather reminds me on a behaved bank clerk, if there wouldn't be the large skin paintings on his arms. And he is almost exploding  of energy.

And just to mention it on the side, Toschie is also a tattoo artist and a painter. Guitarist Ice Dale or Arve Isdal is not only playing guitar for Audrey Horne, but also for headliner Enslaved. Respect, this good man has truly chilli in his bum as we say so and he doesn't show any exhaustment during the whole evening.
I have also to confess, that it is indeed Audrey Hornes music which appealing most to my brain. It got a clear structure and melody and the show is rather entertaining, most of all what's up to Toschie.

and again having moved from one to the other venue, I picture the third and last group of lovely Black Metal  melodies. The invasion is completed. Like I mentioned before, everything stays within the family.
Oh by the way, some of you might ask by themselves, how many fans have gathered here. Well, it's about 50 kids compared to the other Bluesrock event, where you can put a 0 to this figure.
But there's no competition at all, as the musical style is as different like AC/DC compared to the Pet Shop Boys.

Anyway, Enslaved are truly the methusalems of this 3 bands, having started off in 1991 to spread their Black Metal st
yle across the nations.

For their album Ruun in 2006, Enslaved even received the norwegian Grammy. Just to mention this.
But compared to other Black Metal bands they don't go for the satanism way, but rather for the myths of their country including Odin and god Asen. That's why Enslaved are often discribed as the inventor of Viking Metal.
Right now it's the new album 'Vertebrae' which wants to get promoted. That's only for genrell info. But apart from that, again I can not much more say, because after some shots with my camera I'm off again to next door...
